It was funny (HAHA) with the Little Pied and Little Black dancing together. They were having lessons :)

Will they have exams?

Anonymous said...

Yes, BoiledEggInADeckchair! They are being judged for Fourth Grade! That's a grade where after the exams only the serious continue to dance!!

G3T Films said...

Are they sinking into the water? Stop dancing birds! You're sinking!

Anonymous said...

HAHA, it looks like they could be G3TFilms! Nahhhh, it was I changing from crouch to crawl position with the camera ;)

Do they wear hats to look serious?

Anonymous said...

No hats allowed BoiledEggInADeckchair! They are already serious and we need to see the full extension of their necks. Those 'hats' are their feathers!

BoiledEggIn aDeckchair said...

Oh.

Is your hat feathers or fur BoiledEggInADeckchair? Please don't tell me it's hair! WHERE is your NECK!?! Oh.

BoiledEggIn aDeckchair said...

It's hairy fur and I don't need a neck. You look like you've got a blancmange on your head.

I'm going somewhere else now.

lol too much fun ;)

That's my crown of feathers EggHead! Good riddance!

If you keep laughing like that LaughingWolf, you will be the one to sink :P

You changed from a crouch to a crawl while the birds were sinking... Oh Anonybird, forshame, you could have been a hero and saved the sinking birds but you chose to be a documentarian instead, forshame!

Two fuzzy cormorants to snuggle! I love how they spread their wings like that! Charlotte spotted a bright orange Baltimore oriole this weekend -- simply gorgeous bird. I grabbed the camera, but he flew away before I could get him on film. Next time! :)

Indigo-Daisy said...

The fuzzy one is adorable but the wings on the other is absolutely magical.

Naaaahah! They weren't sinking GTFilms! The eye of my camera created an optical illusion. That doesn't take away from the talented dancing ;)

Hhehee, there's always a next time Melissa! Birds flying away before photographed happens to everyone. I was crouching and crawling towards these two to avoid the same thing ;)

Indigo-Daisy, it’s a VERY difficult assessment to decide which of the two the elite dancer is!

The Little Pied is so cute - always reminds me of one of my nephews.

Thankyou KJ :) You seem to be doing fine on your own being a twit! Hahhhaaa

Your Nephew must be cute Caroline :)

Miladysa said...

I can just picture them with their flying googles on...

Anonymous said...

HAHA, I can see them with goggles on now too Miladysa!

Oh - that's neat! There for some important Cormorant matter meeting, huh! Never saw two different species together. Cool. Brilliant if Jack would have been in it!
Cheers, Klaus

What's the big deal about these ducks that makes these adults go gaga over them? Where's Jack? I want more Jack - patient update please - in photos!

laughingwolf said...

never! have ye not heard i walk on water? every winter.... :P lol

Debra Kay said...

Awesome footwork and wingwork.

Gledwood said...

the main thing that puts me off being a water bird is the thought of being freezing cold.

then I realized - duh - that they are covered in water-resistant feathers. dur!!

anyway as if I have any choice in the matter!!!

Baino said...

I'm with Gleds. Always felt sorry for their little wet feet until I learned that without little skinny covered tootsies, they'd overheat! "Cormorant Lake" doesn't sound quite right maybe they're dancing in "Firebird"

Anonymous said...

Jack helped choose which photos made the shoot Klaus :) Hhahhaa.

SHHHHHHHH! Jack is still sleeping Ces, he needs his rest to get better fast!

I've seen it with my OWN EYES LaughingWolf!

I agree Debra Kay :)

Hmmmmm, I've never thought about turning into a water bird before Gledwood ;) That's right, we don't have a choice in the matter HAHHAAA. Good to see you!

They do look very well feathered Baino, very hot looking especially for summer. They probably find our winter "just right" in temperature when underwater :) Firebird it is!

laughingwolf said...

i'm not remotely as fleet footed, and often fall on the icy surfaces :(

Anonymous said...

Oh. I thought that was you LaughingWolf. HAHHAHAHHA :)

RED MOJO said...

I love that cutie-cormorant, and his dance partner sure is flashy!

Anonymous said...

They are PERFECT as a dancing couple, Red Mojo! :)

Love the detail you captured with these shots. these are 2 cormorants I didn't even know existed! I like the pied one.

The pied one looks cute no matter what's it's doing Kathiesbirds! Must be its fluffiness :)
