These dare devils choose to look for shells on the edge!

Back in a couple of hours; it's cold at this time now :O

Well - they don't seem to be intimidated by the waves.
I have some spare heat over here - I email you some degrees.
Cheers, Klaus

Why should they be afraid if they can swim? Can they? I hope so. Why are they called Sooty? That's what I'll call anything black from now on, like "That is a pretty sooty dinner dress."

BTW, your King Jack's Appreciation Society Member roll call is wrong. I certainly visited so many time within the past 24 hours and it says I last visited 2 days ago. Hmph!

ces, being able to swim isn't all that helpful if you are dashed up against the rocks.

Oliver says "oooooooooooooh, Oliver is a FARTY BIRD"....he's so clever.

Hhehee, braver than I that close to the waves, Klaus! The sun hadn’t risen yet but now the sky is blue and I can pretend it’s warmer!

The Sooty Oystercatchers are shorebirds and waders Ces, but also waterbirds which means they should be able to swim. I bet they would do better if swept away than some of our local fishermen! HAHHAA “King Jack's Appreciation Society Member List” isn’t a roll call! It shows how long ago you last posted on your blog so Jack can quickly fly over to BWARK!

Debra Kay is right! Imagine the feathers flying all over the place! Oh… they can fly!!! Oh no, not another farting Parrot! I hope Oliver does what Jack does and farts from his beak and not the other end… ;)

Are those orange things in front of them like those orange things the lifesavers carry around on that BayWatch program? Now if only they would slow motion run for us.

HAHA! That's how the Sootys do it G3TFilms! To prevent drowning, use personal floatation devices!! Hhehheee

They're looking for tiny people or molecules.

Shells, tiny people or molecules, they have still chosen to be dare devils fossicking on the edge, BoiledEggInADeckchair! Have you fossicked for molecules amongst flotsam before?

BoiledEggIn aDeckchair said...

I don't know what the foss is all about.

I was talking about scientists anyway.

The scientists aren't here BoiledEggInADeckchair. You're on the wrong blog egghead!

Oh I like that watch list. I would like to know when some of my favorite bloggers post so I can brush over to their blogs. Okay since Jack can fly and I can't I cant only brush. Am I being corny?

Jack LOVES corn Ces! Heehhee :)

I love it! They're all, "hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, lookin' for grub ..." and I'm screaming on the shore, "LOOK OUT!!"

laughingwolf said...

too tiny to tempt saltwater crocs, those ;) lol

'sides, crocks don't frequent such places...

Debra Kay said...

Yes yes-beak farts. It's the only area that I can come close to his skill (beak farts from me too).

Today he's quiet-I stuffed a bog roll extra tight with paper wads and peanuts and he's on a solitary quest to liberate the peanuts.

They're birds, they are wading and swimming birds. They don't think like people. They are a lot smarter with water and shorelines. Otherwise, they would have gone extinct. Only people go to slippery rocks and scream Ooh - aah, argh - ouch!

That shot with the breaking waves is awesome!

Way of topic but if Jack sees a female eclectus flapping about, she's missing from Kellyville! There are posters on all the telegraph poles!

Hhahhaaa, I'm screaming with you Melissa!

Hmmmm two 52cm birds should make a nice couple of entrees for a salt crocodile LaughingWolf, but you're right about them not liking surfing - or being this far down the coast :) Apart from one found years ago...!

Hhehee, my beak farts are no match for Jacks! Good luck to Oliver liberating the peanuts hehee :)

OOOH - AAH, ARGH - OUCH Ces! Can we discuss this someplace else?

Thanks Kathiesbirds! Nice to see you again :) Ooops ... there she goes in the waves :O

I'll join you from this side of Sydney having a sore neck Baino! An Eclectus should be easier to spot because of its size, is it red (female) or green (male)... oh dear!

cool, birds should be safe, then ;)

Anonymous said...

Safe from saltwater crocs. We have LOTS of sharks ;)

Those oystercatchers are the NOISIEST BIRDs! I saw my first on ever in Iceland, and then ha ha, when I came back to my home country I heard them first, then saw them flying right over the California northern coast! What a bunch of loonies - nice shots you have!!

Anonymous said...

Kervee-kervee-kervee, they do sound like a bunch of loonies TsDuff :) Thanks!
