Good ones! You sure can't complain about variety! I have to get out again two - sitting on my bum for three weeks, not being able to head out!
Cheers, Klaus

I love love love Pelicans.....but I bet their poopy is really stinky.

The snakes love love love to eat lizards (cause they go down so easy) but I can't abide the smell when they recycle out the other end. I can't even imagine the smell of fish eating bird poop.

Hookbills RULE!!!!!!!

I like that Caspian Tern - the look on his face is priceless :-D

All these lovely birds, my head is spinning! I love that heron ... and Mr. pelican looks a little sad and dejected ... does he need a snuggle? Happy Friday! Have a wonderful weekend!

Such wonderful blues in the water - is that what the duets are singing?

HAHA, that photo shoot was in one afternoon's hour Klaus :) Not all excursions are that successful! I hope that doesn't happen to me for three weeks this winter :( I’ve had to go out in the rain a lot lately.

To tell the truth I can't smell the Pelican poop, Debra Kay. BUT the sea breeze is quite strong here and blows most of the time to a certain degree :) Hmmmm, don't 'hookbills' eat carcasses? PEW!

The Caspian Tern thinks his partner is a little short Miladysa ;)

Melissa, Mr Pelican is mentally getting ready to catch the long distance grande jette of the Heron! It's SATURDAY! Yay!! School homework ...

These birds are dancing Caroline, but I'm sure they add a tune here and there ;)

YAY MerlinPrincesse! The first one was tricky and you did well spotting the tiny Double-banded Plover :)

Hot dang! That is the biggest beak I have ever seen! Nice to find so many varieties of birds in one continent.

Nice to find such a variety on one rock shelf, Ces :) Hot dang! Are we in Texas?

I like that white faced heron. We don't have that kind in the U.S. but the turnstones and oyster catchers do live here. Thank you for your kind comment on my Skywatch post. I was so glad to get the Nighthawk shots! I couldn't beleive it when I uploaded them. They were even better than I though they would be.

We don't get Great Blue Herons in Australia, Kathiesbirds :) One of the most exciting things about bird photography is finding something you didn't know was there or something far better in focus than imagined! My camera sees more in Australian lighting than my eyes do ;)
