Gotta love this Heron! He looks a bit like a mix of Snowy Egret and Great Blue Heron! Most excellent!
Cheers, Klaus

It's cold and raining Melissa! I'm trying to be happy even with the sky the colour grey! Heehee, the White-faced Heron is a bit like medicine :) Hope you recover quickly!

I've seen your Great Blue Herons Klaus and thought he looked a lot alike! Will have to check out a Snowy Egret to compare :) Cheers!

He was concentrating a lot, Caroline :) I'm working on the 'good' day .... :O

I love the idea of your autumn happening during our spring. It's like yin and yang.

It might be okay from the ying-spring side but it's dang cold in this part of the yang.

It's been Winter in Australia for over a week now Debra Kay and it's horrible already! Heehee.

Too right ElizT! She hasn't taken her time for us to warm up to the coldness yet. Errmmmm, you might have noticed we've returned before the next dawn. Hahah

Stop laughing, LaughingWolf! That's right, there is a beautiful White-faced Heron in this post ;)

Please refrain from polluting our air Belmattrons ... we have another day because our weekend is long. Hmmmmm where to in the cold and rain tomorrow?

it's wintertime anon? i;m not sure i like that. does that mean jack would have had a more difficult time with the elements during his "vacation"?

:)

Yes, our winter began on the first of June, KJ. Jack WOULD have had a much worse time outside now because he's accustomed to sleeping inside the house at night. He’s also from North/West a warmer area of Australia!

Please don't hate me but it's beautiful weather here in London (for a change)

...but we don't have such lovely birds. Swap you your weather for some feral pigeons?

Winter? Are you confused?

Hhehhee, it's wonderful hearing a Londener not complaining about the weather Bird! They are complaining here. Hhehheeee Feral Pigeons? EASY swap! Hhahhaaaa

Sigh. Ces, I remind you each season that our turn of seasons are different from yours. This is our tenth day of winter. When you visit, you'll understand :)
