I'm going to make a splash at the Pool Party!

Who's that beneath me?

A Rainbow Lorikeet and Noisy Miner open the Extreme Sports! You have to work up to the extreme of the extreme ;)

Looks like fun! They sure do get extreme about their tubbies, Anon! I love that last one -- I laughed out loud. :)

Hhehee Melissa, during the summer I have to fill their pool twice a day!

That looks like fun, Jack. Even more so when your loyal subject anonymous wasn't allowed in, huh?
The miner however seem to be the counterpart to our Grackle - no respect!
Cheers, Klaus

HAHHAAA, Jack was watching from the patio Klaus! That is one Rainbow Lorikeet working out his wings to attack Jack's Castle ;) The Noisy Miners have no respect for anything!

Nice photos of the hydrotherapy baths Anonybird. Can you believe that Possum is adverse to water... a budgie! Adverse to water! He IS a strange fellow.

Heehee, thanks G3TFilms :) Adverse to water!?! Do you make Possum's baths at room temerature? Or if it's cold inside, test the water temp with your elbow like you would with a baby's bottle? Maybe Possum would like to shower with you instead!

Water last, oh about five mintues, in our birdbath. Darn heat and evaporation. When I'm home more during the day, I'll switch it back from the seed feeding station it has become. Posting pics tomorrow of a visiting jay. A big blackbird is hanging out and the daddy dove is on alert to protect the egg. Stay cool!!!

HAH! Which is why it's a good idea to have more than one swimming pool for the birds in summertime, Annie! Sounds like there's quite some action in your backyard! Cool!?! It's WINTER in Sydney! Brrrrr... *shiver*

I was going to say isn't EVERYONE beneath you Jack - then I realized it wasn't Jack in there...

but it's still true, everyone is still beneath him, just not in this picture.

Er, ok, I'll stop now...

Anonymous said...

Heehee, you're right Bird, all other birds are beneath Jack. Errrr not you of course. I'll stop now...

in the second last pic, there is a 'water horse', in the splash at the edge of the rim! fantastic!

glad you're better and able to enjoy yourself, jack! :)

Oliver is practicing his wolf calls-he thinks he's a Pare-Wolf. For two days in a row now we've had storms during his music time-two of his favorite things at once. What a lucky fellow he is....ooowoooooooooh.

If the water was salty it would be a seahorse LaughingWolf! Hhehheee, Jack has a red collar and he is so much more handsome than a common Rainbow Lorikeet :)

OOOOOWOOOOOOOOOOOH Debra Kay! Jack can only whimper like a puppy *shhhhhh*!*

i'll catch on, eventually... maybe :O lol

There's actually a lot of difference to the placement of their colours but the red collar instead of green is the easiest to spot Jack, LaughingWolf :)

Ha! I've tried cool, room temp, warm, bath, shower, and spray. We'll just have to face it... He's a weirdo!

Hhehee, I guess I don't have to tell you that all children aren't 'perfect', G3TFilms :) Last suggestion is to have his water feeder large enough to fit his body into. He might surprise you one day in his drink bowl... not so big as he might drown!

The extreme of the extreme makes for capturing good water motion shots! Now I see why it needs topping up with water.

The splashing does make up for lack of evaporation during the wintertime Captain Modroom9! Their pools need filling again, even with all the rain... :)

He is having a seizure in the pool!

He is fine Ces! I wouldn't have walked away without seeing him 'normal' again on land ;)
