Bless!

Do we know why they dip their tails Anon?

To know whether the water's fine for swimming Miladysa! Or to keep good grooming habits :)

Hello Anon. My, you have been busy. I have a lot of catching up to do. I am free until 8AM my time, then I go back to work. I wish I was free as a bird.

Hello Ces :) Two hours to fly around the world isn't much time Ces, but you have very good wings ;)

Thanks Anon. I enjoyed looking at your Photography blog - what a beautiful place you live in and of course these birds are just gorgeous. I will come back later. I have to see the others.

Thanks for visiting Ces :) TATA for now!!!

Thanks for that info Anon - I had no idea they tested the water.

I can't wait to see the photographs when you manage to catch them bathing. Perhaps they are shy :)

We might have to watch them drinking first, Miladysa Heehee :)

So the tale the tails are telling is the water is too freaking cold?

Anonymous said...

That's right Red Mojo, and not the end of the tale :)

This is just too cute! Their version of dipping a toe in! I love to see it when they test and test and test and then say, to hell with it, and jump right in and splash like crazy. :)

AHA! Melissa knows they test and test and test first :) See, I'm not just being cruel by teasing the Bird Stalkers with tales :))

That top photo is stunning!

I love it too ElizT :) Nothing cheerier than the colour orange with a splash of yellow!

Aww those Cheeky Charlies love the water don't they? They're the only bird I've managed to capture flying into and out of the pool having a bathe. That's it. I'm getting a bird bath and filling the seed tray to bring my tweeties out of the tweetops.

I've seen your great pool photos Baino!!! Woohoo get a bird bath but don't think it's a good idea to feed seed to Miners. Isn't there seed all over your propery anyway? To tempt the lorikeets down try fruit and scare the Miners away. The Miners are the best swimmers though :)
