When breeding, the Australian White Ibis has pink marks on its black neck, yellowish breast plumes, bare scarlet skin on underwing and lacelike wing plumes over yellowish white tail! It isn’t white.

Simon, HAHA its feet are clown-like in scale like a new puppy's! Must be bound for quite some growth, although their feet do remain 'largish' :)
That's what I was gonna say, she's nervous because she's afraid someone will step on those gigantic feet of hers. I looked like that today in my snowshoes!

I have a soft spot for Moorhens, I think they are the Jack Russels of the birdie word :)

What fabulous feet on the moorhen! I'd like to sit under those big leaves myself -- looks quiet and calm. And quite the armpits on that Ibis ... he's saying, "Look at ME! Look at ME! I need somebody to love!"
You and the Moorhen have the right idea Melissa, the leaves are like parasols blocking the burn from the sun! Your armpits wouldn't look as raw as the Ibis if you held a parasol! Heheee.
Im still totally mystified about why no-bird will get in the water....what do they know that we dont?
