2008 - Ooops Pollen Drunk

Hello 2008 Birdstalkers! Luckily I didn't mention what date in the New Year the Anonybirds will fly into the Pool Party *hhehhehheeee* Right now we're recovering in close to 30 degree Celsius heat and promise it won't be too long before we dive into the water!

In the meantime, Anon is completing posts from New Year Celebrations over at Photography Anonymous. See you back here soon!

Don't forget your cossies and boardshorts, slip on a t-shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat! ... Anon

A Laughing Kookaburra watching the 9 o'clock fireworks. He wasn't really laughing.

Oh dear, until I return, you had better put leg warmers over your boardshorts and a woollen jumper on top of your cossie Cat!

THANKYOU PrincessePepperCloud! Ouch my head.

Yes, too cold here for your fashion advice. Plus a predicted snowfall soon which will shut down the whole country as usual.

Hee hee.

Great shots of the fireworks, Anon! We had some at midnight, too ... right across the street ... I must have levitated off the bed! I think I swore a couple of times, and then Eli had to calm Charlotte down. :) She looked just like that Kookaburra ... not too keen on what was invading the airspace. LOL!

i just learned we had ice scuptures at one of the city parks. i would love to have seen those. maybe next year.

i was asleep early on. i think i am officially a fogey, now...soon to be 'old.'

Once the pool party begins you will virtually be here Miladysa :) There were quite a lot of birds singing out warnings about all the people invading their space, or letting each other know which telegraph poles or trees had the the best view!

Quite a dramatic climate change for you Simon!

Once the pool party begins, you'll want to wear some boardshorts Modroom! Just don't wear sandals with socks! Heehee

I haven't posted the midnight fireworks yet Melissa, today is the last day of sunshine for a while so going outside to bird stalk! Those posted so far are the nine o'clock ones :) I remember my kids doing the same when tiny! Especially for the Chinese New Year which had bangers almost outside their bedroom window!

OHHHHHH you MUST remember to see the sculptures next year Catnapping! We have sand ones at this time of year ;) You're as young as you feel and probably feel younger than those who were awake at midnight! HAHA

I had a headache on the first, all day. It may have had something to do with the amount of sparkling wine I consummed on New Year's Eve. All I know is I was rudely awakened by the sound of the curtains hanging, and felt pretty tender all day. Wow, still stupid after all these years.

red mojo was awakened by the sound of curtains hanging? that girl has quite a sense of humor. another example of the bright compelling visitors you have on your blog,anon--that is, after jack and my beloved cookie.

now i'm off to see your fireworks.
hope all is well on your warm end, (snarled with resentment)
