Missed You

This water does look like it's cold!

Help! I think my toes have frozen!

Where's Baby Magpie? Don't tell me he went to the wrong pool again. I was going to push him in first.

Back from rest, feel better now :) Baby Magpie is still getting used to the pools!

The pool has shrunk, or that's a big parrot.

That's a baby magpie standing over the baby pool BoiledEggInADeckchair (two top photographs) :)

LOL! Even bird baths have bullies! :) So green and sunny ... delightful to see here where it's gray and dreary.

Oh.

Hheheee, I've toned the 'sun' down in all the photos too Melissa otherwise the photographs would be too glary to see without sunnies :)

Parrots have smaller curled beaks BoiledEggInADeckchair :)

I love it when I have the pool all to myself! Tehehe

Do you jump, fall, dive, slide in or just bake around it like a grilled prawn, Lavender Hhehheee

How come no one wants to go in the pool? I need to see some splashin!

Anonymous said...

Patience Red Mojo :) There is only so much splashing that can be tolerated over a whole summer, will even have to break it up once it starts happening with some 'hanging around the pool'. Soak in some sunshine while you're waiting!

You'd think an Egg would know a parrot when he saw one. Dumb Egghead.

Why is the water so cold in summer?

"sunnies" - love it!

He's a jolly little chappie isn't he? :)

Must dash, waaaayy past my bedtime!

SEE even Perriette thinks the water is cold knowing it's Summertime! HAHA

You don't wrap your head with a pair of sunnies to stop the glare Miladysa? That's why I have toned down the sun in the photos! :)

Miladysa said...

Anon - I wear them most of the time and rarely have more than aT small lamp on a night. I have never heard them called 'sunnies' before but in my world they shall be so called from this moment on.

Baby Magpie looks well ;)

We haven't moved our bird bath yet - its been raining cats and dogs for day!

Miladysa, we like to put "ie" after a lot of words like 'matie'. 'surfie' and 'barbie'; sunnies has an "s" at the end because we have two eyes HAHA!! Mr Magpie is a happy chappy most of the time and Baby is growing! Note the 'ie's are missing from that last sentence. You had only just gone to bed at night Miladysa!

Get in the water already. Maybe they are goats, not birds. I read it has been a cold summer in Australia.

Just over a week until a tail feather goes in Ces HAHA!! Goats don't like water? Don't believe what the online weather says Ces, it's supposed to be raining here since Christmas Day and have only had three minutes of it! No bush fires yet though ...

Well he's braver than me, I haven't even sat on the edge of my pool all summer! My magpies seem to prefer cruising the lawn and having territorial battles than sploshing in water. Dirty little beasts! Hahaha .. 'so green' that's a new experience eh Anon? We have to mow the lawn again since Christmas! Unheard of.

Your Magpies are dirty little beasties Baino! They MUST have a watering hole somewhere? Maybe they have pool parties there at night? Heehee. Now you mention it, you're right Baino ... our lawn needs mowing again also! This is my second Summer in this house and it's a lot cooler than the last, so difficult to measure the temperature but the green grass says it all! Still don't believe there are no major bush fires!

just wandered in...
Why don't goats like water?
If I were a goat, I'd want to go swimming.

tsduff said...

I still want one! Lovelovelove your pictures. I don't have any magpies around here. :(

Hi Joy Eliz! Ces seems to be the one to know about goats, so i'll let her answer your goat question. Can't help you there, my magic wand is missing ... :)

HAHA thank you TsDuff. I'm afraid these ones are MINE! Okay, they belong to Sydney ...

Goats don't like the water. I tried to give a goat a bath once when I was a child and it kicked me.

We already know goats don't like water Ces! We want to know WHY ... maybe because people try to force them into it? I worked on an alpaca goat farm for a few days and it was POURING with rain when we had to round them for drenching. They were already drenched and still didn't like it!
