There were eight in the pool a few days ago, but didn't have camera. *sigh*
It's REALLY cold now!!!
lol... we have a local beer here, called 'keith's', of course only the cfa don't call it 'keets' ;)
[cfa = come from away, in other words those not born here... and a pejorative!]
I don't believe there were eight. Where's the evidence?
LaughingWolf, you drink squeezed Lorikeets or just their bath water? Hhehe!!
I already said I didn't have my camera Ces! *sigh* *sigh*
I know what you said. *Sigh*
Okay, Good morning. TSUP!
Still, just seeing one of these birds in person would make me happy.
Good morning Ces :) I'm trying my best but you'll have to wait until our computer screens become holograms. COFFEE!
All 12 of our domestic ducks managed to climb into one 3' diameter pool the other day. They wasn't even standing room - they had to go multistory. Wish I'd got a photo of that :-)
HAHA! Multi-storied ducks! I try to NEVER go into the garden without my camera. It's always the way on rare occasions of not taking the camera, for something special to happen!! Now similar has happened in your backyard Alan :) It's like the fish that got away! *sigh*
Ah, a bird jacuzzi! Who brings the beer?
You turned up to an Aussie backyard without a case of beer Tony Larocca? That's bad manners in Australia! Any beer would be fine apart from "Keets"... ;)
You are so lucky to have such beautiful birds come visit you. I have to go to the pet store to see birds as colorful as these!
Look at the bright side of the Rainbows Indigo-daisy. At least you can walk away from all the noise in a pet store ;)
not fair! why oh why can't i have these birds in my back yard? even their noise would make me smile. i might even sit in the kiddie pool and splash around with them.
ps re: the ufo, anon, i certainly expected you to be able to identify that flying object with wings. i think you were teasing me... :)
HAHA, I can see you splashing about in a kiddie pool SQUASHING the rainbows KJ!!! I'm not very good identifying flying objects made out of metal... *sigh*
Morning! *yawn*
The Rainbow Lorikeets will wake you up Maria :) With a splash of very cold water and *SCREECH*!
Tsupcho*!* Tsupsnif*!* and a Bwark*!* to his royal nibbs .... I've flown over to catch up with your winged wonders that I've missed this week ... loved the Mannikins *!*
Not wanting to Tsupcho*!* and Tsupsnif*!* back Bimbimbie! You sound miserable! Was it the grumpy you who voted the Starling as NOT being Mini in the bird poll!?! The Mannikins are lovely :) Tsup*!* and Bwark*!* with a hanky in front of beak!
metal??!! what metal??!!
Hhehee, check again KJ :) I have identified your UFO as metal! Use your imagination! *sigh*
Haa haa!!! Oh, man, did I need a dose of the rainbows splashin' around today! Thank you, Anon -- these are the best pool shots yet. That third was made me laugh out loud -- the one coming in for a landing looks like he's hollering, "LOOK OUT! I'M GONNA BELLY FLOP!!!" :) They look especially raucous, is it the chill in the air?
I never get tired of lorikeets they're sociable little critters, even in the bath.
My pleasure Melissa :) The cold water probably does make a difference to the pitch of their screams. Hhehee!
True I agree but the whole Jack Attack as seen in the film from THIS post still haunts me Baino!!
nah, alexander keith's is a very good india pale ale :P lol
Pale ale? We prefer the strong and heavy Down Under...
