OUCH! Hhahhaaa actually, Aussie kids do the same in the rockpools. We're tough!
But it wasn't hurt, was it? Looks a bit as if the gull is having some problems...
Love the Terns - they always look so funny.
Cheers, Klaus
Aussies have to have their heads chopped off to admit it hurts Klaus ;) The Silver Gull was having the time of his life! The Crested Terns we egging the Gull on ... they all placed bets in numbers of juicy limpets to eat! The Gull won lunch of course :)
Only one bath - the other will have to wait their tern.
HAHAHHAAA, lucky you to turn out the first Tern joke Alan!
Das Uber Seagulls mit unter sea wasser hurnsa.
That's right Albrecht von Krappa! If you think it hurts underwater also... What are you doing under the Silver Gull!?!
Why would it hurt? It isn't like they are attacking him. He would probably crack them open and eat them? What a beautiful shiny white sheen on the feathers.
It's the Sooty Oystercatchers that crack them open and one was just cracking in this pool before the Silver Gull arrived Ces ;)
Ich bich not unter das Uber Seagull, ich in Bavaria, dumkopf.
Don't call me a "dumkopf" Dumbhead!
Ooo, I love the fourth one down with the water droplets! I have a seagull on my computer wallpaper right now. :) Those black swans are just gorgeous! Is that a band of white under their wings and on the tops of their tails? Gorgeous and regal!
Melissa, it looks refreshing but icy cold! Those are indeed white feathers on the Black Swan which are normally hiding. However we were on a Fluffed Royal Tour ;)
I accidentally clicked on one of the labels and got trasported to previous posts. I read some of the comments. What a riot. You could write a book with just your responses to the comments and some of the comments. I should do that more often to make myself laugh and be happy. Your blog is precious Anon.
Hahaha, you can get lost in there Ces! Pleased you found your way out again and still smiling :)
i've been looking at seagulls myself, anon. i am determined to get some shots for you while i'm in p-town. still, i've never seen an all white gull or one burrowing in like this. now i'm on the lookout!
shore is a purdy burdy ;) lol
Good KJ! I didn't actually know you were still in Provincetown. I thought you just visited for the weekend. That will give you plenty of time to photograph gulls KJ! This is a Silver Gull in a puddle of water. I haven't seen an all white one. Never seen one that burrows! Good luck ;)
What language is that LaughingWolf? CUTESY!?!
anon, i'll be coming and going for the next few weeks. that gull is burrowing anon! and it's (kind of) all white!
:)
Oh! I didn't know anyone could burrow into water, it must be heavy stuff! SHHHH... don't let the Silver Gull hear you KJ, they are very proud of their silver! :)
Awww missed this one. I really must get a new PC, my home one takes ages to build your page ... top shots and I am MOTIVATED to get some pics done this weekend. Honest!
MOTIVATED Baino? YAY!!!! This must be your lunchtime, time for me to do the same - rest that is! Won't forget about your MOTIVATION afterwards :) PS: Motivate yourself sooner for a new home computer!
uh-huh! ;) lol
This is a warning, no cutsey allowed LaughingWolf! Unless it's a posing birdie ... ;)

Only pictorial cutseys or cutsies, LaughingWolf. You don't even have an avatar! Or *tweet*
