What was extreme was there really wasn't much of a splash! Expert divers... ;)

But look at the air bubbles ... a big tick ... I think that dive got a score of 10 Tsup*!*

HAHHAH you're right Bimbimbie Tsup*!* Tsup*!* They are the BEST bubbles from a dive!!!

I would like to rehabilitate at a resort. I will make big bubbles like Ms. Penguin. She looks like she is ready for the diving competition in Beijing. A 10 indeed and she deserves a gold medal. **Danda dah dan dan dan ** (Australian National Anthem)

Come back home, little bird!

HAHHAAA, our anthem sounds THAT bad Ces? Hhehheee, yes she is a brilliant diver and you can take her place when there's a vacancy at the resort :) No diving in Beijing!

Don't fret ElizT :( Ms Fiordland will be home soon in New Zealand to multiply. She is only visiting Sydney... ;)

Hehe. I am afraid the other birds won't like me :-)

You are a lovely green colour Ces, I'm sure they wouldn't even notice you so long as you didn't try double summersaults or anything into the pool ;)

Looks like a bit of a belly buster to me :-) (or belly flop as they say now)

HAHHAA, I missed snapping the image showing a perfect slide into the water Alan! I assure you Ms Fiordland can be quite elegant, especially when re-cooperating and reintroducing her belly muscles to the water ;)

Mosura said...

Oh - I thought photos #3 and #4 were in the wrong order but I believe you :-)

NONONONO, they may look clumsy on land but I would have been in the pool for that 4th side shot if they were posted the other way around. Ms Fiordland's fantastic flipper action would have sunk me! It's a very difficult time for the penguins in Sydney at the moment, they are calling for nightwatchers to guard their nests! That's for the Fairy Penguins, but with all the visitors to Sydney to see the Pope, this 'resort' is going going to be overbooked by next week :O Ms Fiordland is almost ready to swim back to New Zealand ;)

Bloop, bloop bloop! Penguins are just too cute when they are swimming. I got to see a tank full of them swimming at Sea World in Florida, and I just loved how their big bellies bopped along under the water, their wings flipping along. I feel a snuggle coming on ... :) Happy weekend!

HAHA, I'm afraid that cuddle might be a bit oily Melissa! Our local zoo has a new area which has recently opened with swimming penguins inside a glassed pool!!! They are all rehabilitating to be released back into the wild, unless their injuries are too extreme to survive out here :( I must save and have a visit with my camera! It's very expensive to visit and only do so yearly :)

Truth be spoken - he actually didn't wanted to go. You pushed to get the image. Ruthless! But gooood! ;)

MWHAHHAHHAAAA shhhh Klaus!!!
I don't need to be lectured about De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum! HAH!! In case you've forgotten your Latin, that is the extremes of good and evil... mwhahhaaaa...

ElizT said...

Yes, over here we all do that 'perfect slide into the water'.

kjpweb said...

Uh - Latin is what that was. Oh well - I posted (pasted) it on a gazillion websites, including the Vatican Blog. Guess I'm in trouble now, huh?

HAHHAAA that is SO funny ElizT!!!! I want photographic evidence of yours! We like the Australian Crawl afterwards Down Under ;)

OH MY GOODNESS and EVILNESS! You didn't Klaus!?! The Pope's wrath can be heard in Sydney!!!

I did a belly flap once and had my breath knocked out. I hope the visitors won't disturb their nests. If they are a bother to the penguins, shouldn't they close that section of the resort to the public? FLOP!

Annie Jeffries said...

A TEN for sure. Clean, smooth entry. Graceful exit.

I'm trying to think of what a belly 'flap' would look like Ces. Is that when the rolls work like a tail on a kite? The penguin's nests are protected by a makeshift fence and people watchers until the littlies hatch and waddle away Ces :) The nests aren't on a resort but around one of the most popular wharves and beaches in Sydney! *TIDAL WAVE*!

Thankyou Annie! You know talent when you see it! Must have had your goggles on :)

NOT gonna mention the kinda bubbles wuffs make in the water! :O lol

Ces Adorio said...

No, Anon, like a piece of plywood plopping flat into the pool except the plywood is thin and won't probably half-empty the water in the pool!

Oh my god, look at that first picture - the little penguin looks too funny when he looks down on the water. Looks a little clumsy.
And then the bubbles on the third pic!

BTW: your conversations are very instructive for me. I often have to look up one word or another in LEO's online dictionary to get the point (eg belly flop and belly flap) - very interesting, indeed!

Good LaughingWolf, we like to keep our fresh air thankyou!

OUCH! Think I'd rather flop then flap into a pool that way! Did a handsome brozed lifesaver swim to your rescue Ces?

There is something about penguins that tickles human funny bones Meria :) Hhheee, we have a few visitors who often visit to improve their English ;)
