Shower

I'm not watching.

Hey you two, I'm NOT watching!

No amount of leg kicking will avert my eyes.

*GASP*! Averting eyes away!

I feel like I'm in the shower with the heat turned off...

Something bright for a winter's day!

It was parrot weather here today and I danced in a kitchen sink just like that.

I hope Jack can watch all this.

I keep forgetting that it is winter down there. These birds don't mind the cold water?

Tehehe Anon, you have such a wealth of treasure in your backyard :)

I heard it's REALLY WARM in England right now CaptainModroom9! I hope you waited for the washing up water to cool down first ;)

Jack has the best seat to view the backyard and swimming pools ElizT! In fact, when he sees the Rainbow Lorikeets swim, so does he!

The Rainbows are natives, so our winter climate is natural for them. However, Jack is naturally from a warmer climate up North. He needs his pool water warmed first and has been hiding in his cubby house all week during the day. Poor Jack is finding it a little chilly in Sydney!

Lots of treasure in our garden Lavender! Just don't tell the neighbourhood dogs or they will dig it up... ;)

I have had a shocking morning and will remain quiet for the rest of the day. My eldest was a victim in a hit and run road rage against cyclists this morning on the way to school. He is fine apart from bruising but we are all a little shocked...

I am sorry to hear about your son Anon. I am glad he is not badly hurt. It's amazing how stupid people can be. The victims of their misplaced anger are usually the innocent ones. God bless your family.

Oh dear, that is shocking-your poor son. Thanks for putting the loris up though-they are my favorites.

Thinking strengthening thoughts for you...

The Doctor said the same thing about victims of misplaced anger, Ces. This driver had stopped at the pedestrian crossing but suddenly decided to run the red light at top speed, taking my son on his bike with them? That’s like aim and fire! There has been a lot in the media recently about rage against cyclists in Sydney ... Thankyou :)

The Lori's are as cheerful as one can be Debra Kay :)

Thanks ElizT :) Right now I'm still trying to find the strength not to throw up... shocking!

Errr... pays to read the comments sometimes... sorry to hear about your kid. That's craptacular. Stoopid driver needs his brain seen to.

I am so sorry to hear that. It's really shocking!
Wish you all the best.

Thankyou KJ :)

Errr... at first I thought you might have been the driver G3TFilms! Heehee. It's craptacular!

Very shocking Maria. I'm up to either having a weep or sleep. Thanks :)

Will catch up on your blog posts tomorrow...

YIKES! Best wishes to you both - traumatic for both of you! It is bad out there for the cyclists, which confuses me as theres likely to be even more of us out there soon!
Thinking of you and your Dear Son!

The Loris are the best LaughingWolf, especially at rainbow parties ;)

Thankyou Lavender, having an easy evening :) You're right, with petrol prices climbing the way they are, there are to be many more cyclists! Can't forget the Hawk Squad riders flying about for Youth Day on their bikes! Cycling is fast becoming a trend again...

So glad to hear that your son is doing alright. Hope they got the SOB.
Take away the car and have him ride a bike for the rest of his life!
That'll make fro sweet justice.

Great bathing scenes as always!
Cheers, Klaus

Anon -- That's terrible! :( I'm sending love and hugs -- I hope your son is okay. You, too! Something like that is as hurtful emotionally as physically. Thank goodness we have our birds and blogging buddies to help us through the tough spots. Those rainbows are just too silly and I love the commentary by the stuffy I'm-not-looking-would-you-just-stop-being-so-silly lorikeet. :)

I agree with Lavender. I think that our cities should start planning for cyclists by providing bicycle lanes. Cycling in our county has always been considered dangerous to fatal. For a car driver to aim at a cyclist, that ought to be criminal. Stay away from crazy people. Birds are better.

Debra Kay said...

I tried riding my bike to the grocery store and was scared to death. I wish we had lanes here-we do have nice paths-but the idea of bicycle as transportation hasn't caught on.

As a kid, that's how we got anywhere we wanted to go.

Simply divine colours of the birds...great pics. Thanks for sharing :)

HAHHAA, that's perfect punishment Klaus!

Son is up and getting ready for school today, Melissa :) Tomorrow is the last day before two weeks of school holidays which is good timing to nurse bruises :) Thank goodness for birds and blogging buddies!

We have many bicycle lanes around here but not enough, Ces. It was a criminal act! It's quite a distance for my son to ride to school and he's catching the bus for the rest of this week ;)

Bicycles, roller blades or skateboards is how we travelled as kids, Debra Kay! However, neighbourhoods and roads were different then...

Thanks AWildlifeGardener! The Rainbow Lorikeets are as bright as birds can be :)

We are all feeling a bit better after a good night's sleep, Onedia Hayes Sylvest. Thanks for your concern :)

Sorry Anonybird, you sound a little discombobulated today and no wonder (my previous comment didn't save). Can't believe people do such awful things, it's like those Olympic cyclists that were toppled last month by some irate driver on Southern Cross drive! Very sorry to hear about your boydie . .not birdie . . hope he's not too traumatised . . although I think you might be judging by comments at my place! :)

Comment on new posts of OTHER blogs, G3TFilms. Sigh. That includes your blog...

"Discombobulated" was right Baino! It's confusing to think whether this person ran him down on purpose or somehow thought the light went green and he was already off the crossing - which sounds just as incredible. I am traumatised! That's been G3TFilms commenting for me for the past couple of days - he's been hypnotised but isn't doing a very good job ;)
