Look at the water from the rudder!

wow... what swans are they, birdy?

Hmmm... the kind of river boat that carefully avoids a cat or a man. I mean a catamaran.

What's that bird in the background of #1? Not the 2 Ibis, the other one.

Those are Black Swans, LaughingWolf! Can't you tell? Hehhee

I hope so Alan :) Can see two White Ibis and a Pacific Black Duck in the background. The duck could actually be any sort of duck, maybe a Chestnut Teal!

there seems to be a lot about. There is a lake near Ulladulla and its like a black swan parking lot!

:o)

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* We are being elegant today Bimbimbie and travelling in cushioned style :)

There are indeed many Black Swans about Simon! They must like the misty morns :)

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* Much classier then those bottom waving duckies *!*

Completely agree Bimbimbie! In fact, have wiped my mind of those common floaters and will enjoy tea and jam scones in refined delight. Sprinkle of sugar? *Tsup*!*

Soon to be grilled Peking Duck in the background. I don't know about swans, they may be gamey and greasy. They're lucky, I don't eat duck or anything that says quack.

We don't have Peking Ducks swimming around Ces Heehee :) You would sink us if ate the transport! Swans are musical bugles and don't quack!! Must be morning tea time by now, fish fingers?

Lore ipsum... ah shucks - I got nothing. You got swans. I don't even have something intelligent to paste. Life is hard.
Good ones - them swans - these are Australian Natives, right? Or were they Austrian? Same difference.
Cheers, Klaus!

Australia is indeed the only place where you will find Black Swans as natives Klaus! We don't have the white ones :) *sigh* Bush did a terrible job spreading the rumour he was in Austria instead of Australia for the APEC meeting! Actually, many years ago when living in California, my parents posted items home to Australia and they all ended up in Austria!!!

Aw, such lovlies - so elegant and whoa! I never noticed the wake they leave before Teeheehee!

Anonymous said...

Isn't she lovely Lavender! There was a bit of a race going on that day, or perhaps a pursuit! I too know them more for their relaxed gliding... :)

laughingwolf said...

no! y're kidding me! :P lol

Deadly serious LaughingWolf, which has nothing to do with us having Black Swans and you White!

They are really graceful, the black swans!
Maybe we should try to mix the white and the black ones and then see how their eggs and their babies look like?

It's a long time sind the 70s. Vienna has changed a lot since then. Vienna was a gray city in the 70s, and everybody said that it is boring and full of sulky old people.
But this has changed! ;)

I was near a bunch of American tourists once, feeding swans. One lady chirped "Oh my look, I've never seen a grey swan before" (they were almost adult cygnets, about to moult!) I guess she never read The Ugly Duckling *sigh*

Anonymous said...

Aren't we all JEALOUS Indigo-daisy. Oh, thankyou ;)

Hmmm, wonder if they'd turn out spotted or stripped Maria! I was right! Vienna really was grey in the 70s! The Viennese High Society were still 'running' the place then ;)

Yes Deb, YES!!

They are darker than your white ones LaughingWolf and named Black Swans! Hhehheee

Poor American tourist with illiterate childhood, Baino. I bet there are some beauties to be heard from all over the world in the city right now!!! HAHHAAAA!!!
