Fishing

When the White-faced Heron thought Jack, was looking a bit weedy...

His mistake, there were a lot of lagoons to search! See the trail?

JAAAAAACK! Dams were included, he did a good job, covering a very large area!

We’ll be having an easy week of viewing how some of Jack’s neighbours went out looking for him. Then a little dancing to ready for the Extreme Sports which will begin again at the Pool Party!

Tsup*!* Just put my tin of paint and brush down for a cuppa and a read. Mr Herron did a bit of weedy walking for the King Jack search ... dancing and extreme sports?! lol sounds like King Jack is in party mode .. ah well it's back to the wall for me tsup*!*

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie! Mr Heron really is a hard worker. He must have been quite perplexed when finding what he thought was Jack, was in fact vegetable instead of animal ;) Don't forget, first taking it easy for the next week ... hmmmm painting is hard work! Tsup*!*

I'm rather glad that this wasn't where Jack was found... he might have been drowned!

You have love herons -- gorgeous birds and the best searchers of Jack! That last one is so funny -- I love your captions, Anon! :)

Jack would have just been having a bath Caroline! He's a very clean bird, sometimes taking six baths and just as many watering can showers a day :)

Hhehheee, thanks Melissa! The Heron looks quite desperate at the end - just like we were :)

Being a Heron junkie I revel in pictures of 'em! Especially if it's a "brand" that I can't find over here in Florida! Wonderful!
Cheers, Klaus

neat pics, thank you :)

Wow he's a beauty but should have been looking up not down! Glad Jack bathes beneath a 'watering can' and not the hose!

Hhehee, Klaus is a lot easier to say the Kjpweb :) We have fifteen species of Heron in Australia, but only two like this where we live which are the White-faced and White-necked. There's also the Nankeen Night and Striated Heron which are dumpy or stocky in comarison ;)

Thankyou Laughingwolf :))

We had to search high AND low Baino! HAHHHAAAAA, actually Jack does like the hose when we're cleaning his Castle on a hot summer's day but of course the stream isn't aimed at him! Hhehhee

Wow! He is really grey! By the way, why do I always say that a bird is a "he"?

He is really grey Ces! Mr Heron does look like a boy ... I usually let the first to comment on gender to decide unless know otherwise :)
