Nankeen Kestrel with a couple of Australian Ravens at the end!

Later the Nankeen Kestrel follows the Raven ...

WHAAAAA! Not sure what happened there but the Kestrel won!

Having a sleep in ... after all the excitement. That Raven could have been my collar ;)

Looks like the Raven was attempting to mob the Kestrel but got more than it bargained for! Wow!

Wow! Award winning! Bravo!

Having said all that... I bet my squirrel could take it on...

*grin*

Wow, Anon, this is fabulous!! What a beautiful day to soar! Really breath-taking -- I love, love kestrels and you really captured this one. I'm going to back and watch it again! :)

Fantastic footage of the kestrel... I'm in awe :)

Wow talk about being in the right place at the right time! Did the raven survive? There's a bit of featherage happening there.

It's a change to see a Raven not be the Winner Caroline! You're right! Hhehheee

The Kestrel travelled quite a distance Miladysa, shame it was right out of focus! If we had squirrels in Australia, they would be on his dinner list and if he was over there, he'd be watching your seed ball for who was going to be his prey ;) Hhahhaaaa.

It's rare footage I can't help watching over again as well, Melissa!!! The sky had interesting changes that day and little wind :)

Thankyou AWildLifeGardener. How I'm going to follow from that, I don't know!

The beginning of the film he was hovering above my fake fur hood but then had to make a fly for it Baino. I'll wear the same jacket there next time ;) It was VERY fast but the Raven was simply 'pulled' from out of the sky and fell below a cliff line - out of sight!

This is absolutely becoming a violent blog!

Oh well, the kestrel hovers beautifully. I can't believe the ravens are flying so high. I always thought that the ravens only tapped on the windows and make you remember women named Eleanor.

Did you get zapped by a bird crap? I like your Friday Sky Gazin posts. I sometimes check out your new visitors.

HAHAHAAA, the Kestrel IS a raptor Ces! Also, the Ravens can be scary sometimes ;) Your Ravens sound like plain old message carriers! NO, I still haven't been poohed upon Ces - does that upset you?

No. I can't believe the birds spare you. I get crapped just standing under a tree! I saw some hawks today, hovering just outside my office window. Lovely birds. I like it when they hover.

I have to go now. Have to celebrate my 22nd weddding anniversary!

They must think I'm one of them Ces! Is your hair like a bird's nest? The hovering indicates the hawks have their eye on something ... or someone ;)

Enjoy your celebration, 22 years is well worth celebrating!! Congratulations :)

Unfortunately I can't watch this video from home. Crazy dial-up!

Although a one on one battle between a crow and a kestrel would take some good action at the TAB ;)

Can't wait to see the footage on Monday.

I thought I was the last one in Australia who 'had' dial-up! Geeeez, how can you make films if can't watch them, G3Tfilms? Hheee, not allowed to involve these birds in gambling! You'll just have to wait ;)

I wonder who eats the eggs of the other... Hhehehe.... War in the sky for territory! I was amazed by your little movie, even if I hate to see animals and birds fighting each other.... It makes me realize what a cruel World we live in....

BLAH!!! Don't listen to that sensitive-babble, Anon!
GO FOR IT!!!! Kestrels ROCKS!!! *and give me one juicy leg of that Raven* *in need for new black feathers for my collar*

You have had an amazingly sheltered and fortunate life if haven't realised what a cruel world there can be MerlinPrincesse. Of course, this post is more about survival ;)

Tsup*!* Sorry I'm late ... Migraine Bat bitted me and put me in my cot most of the weekend ;)

Stunningly brilliant footage anony and photos too ... you were lucky you weren't blown off balance judging by the sound of the wind. Tsup *!*

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie, that's painful news! Just recently Migraine Bats caused me to have brain scans! I'm glad you're feeling better for the work week Heehee. The wind was actually calm that day ... in fact a mere breeze, but I was standing on top of a cliff without a wind muffler!

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* Oh, that's not good - hope all went well with the scan ... I'm not going to ask the obvious although it has flashed across mine just now;) Tsup*!*

Tsup*!* Never 'mind' me, it's good you're back on track for now. I DO have a brain Bimbimbie! HAHHAHAA
