Hanging Swans

Their swollen throats suggest they're performing a musical bugle tune in the last image!

What loud trumpeting tune could that be … hmmmm…?

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* Trumpeting his amazement at the black flamingo in the above photo perhaps. *!*

I do like these swans Tsup *!*

Bimbimbie said...

... and love the first photo beautiful *!*

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie! Hhehheee, that swan hiding its head could be a silhouette of pink flamingo! Who knows the depth of the water, I wasn’t going to go wading to find out. Bring me my Swan costume! Lucky shot the first one, she glided away moments later :)

Tsup*!* I think I noticed rain due in Sydney again ... you'd better hang onto that swan costume lol *!*Tsup

Tsup*!* The weatherman has been wrong for the last couple of weeks and it's very sunny outside without a cloud in sight, Bimbimbie! However, history dictates that will change by the time I look out the window again! Legend has it Pavlova's last words on her deathbed were "bring me my swan costume", but won't make them mine!! HAHA :)

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* It's sunny here too but I'm still wearing my jumper ... will get rid of that once I get outside ... I'm just waiting on an interview on ABC national about a guy who is doing amazing things for the Orangutans *!*

simon said...

they are a cranky bird for real!

Anonymous said...

Tsup*!* I might just snuggle into my jumper and tune into that interview with you Bimbimbie!

What did you do to them Simon? Hhehhee

G3T Films said...

Anonybird, how could you hang a swan? I mean, it's probably pretty easy, they do have nice long necks, but still, I couldn't live with myself after hanging a swan. Tres cruel.

Good photos though :)

*sigh* The birds are hanging on their own accord G3TFilms, because we are in the middle of a Pool Party but have lots of shots of birds when they weren't in the water. You're a Party Pooper! Better you poop beside the water than in it though ... hehheee :)

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* Did you manage to catch the interview with Willie Smits?

G3T Films said...

Ohhhh, you mean they're hanging out, ohhhhh.

I'm not a party pooper... am I? I didn't realise it was a pool party... I'm not an elephant. I didn't even bring my trunks.

Melissa said...

What beauties! I love black swans and could watch them forever! That first shot is an award winner. :)

Tsup*!* Ooooo oooo oooo! I did indeed hear the interview Bimbimbie, although working at same time (difficult to focus) :) My friend is the Head Keeper of the Primates at the local zoo and Willie Smit did a talk there earlier this month about Thinkers of the Jungle!

Yeah man, hanging out! You're forgiven G3TFilms, the party has been going for a long time (125 posts so far!?!) and action in Extreme Water Sports won't be starting for a while yet. It's just there's a lot of hanging about by the laid back Aussie birds and I keep getting more shots of all the hanging! You're lucky you're not an elephant, the water is getting cold!

Thanks Melissa, I'm sure that swan posed until I noticed it framed between the paperbark trees ;)

Tsup*!* Yes, that's another book to be added to my list I think. Our intelligent relatives have a real champion with Willie Smits.

What an interesting friend you have *!*

G3T Films said...

What I coincidence! I used to be head primate at a zoo.

Our jungle-selves are in need of a few champions at the moment. Thanks goodness for the Mr Smits of the world.

Anonymous said...

Tsup*!* The book is said to be "amazing" and hope it helps save the orangutans! My friend is even more interesting once you can tell him apart from the other primates! Hhahhaaa :)

OH NO! My being 'anonymous' may be threatened!?! I retract that last statement and will be visiting the zoo as soon as possible! Hey GTFilms I think we've met before... were you the one who threw a banana at me and *gasp, I can't even repeat it!*? I've seen a little behind closed walls of the primates! It's a jungle out there! HAHA

Ces Adorio said...

Beautiful birds Anon, although somehow, I never think of the swans as birds, I don't know why.

Anonymous said...

They are Ces, and I could spend my whole lunchtime watching them :) Perhaps they remind you of ballerinas or something else more featherless...

G3T Films said...

Hehehe! Your secret identity is safe with us Anonybird... we promise not to go around to all the zoos in Sydney asking if their Primate People know a bird!

PS. No, that wasn't me... I've never thrown a banana.

Bimbimbie said...

Tsup*!* ... oops! Should you suddenly disappear from blogland we will let the Police know a bird with camera is being held captive by a zooalogicalsydneymorphinprimate Tsup*!*

kj said...

black swans. for some reason i think of them as rare birds...

(haha--this is a silly comment which i think is clever)

:)

G3T Films said...

Crikey not the zooalogicalsydneymorphinprimate! Oh... you mean me?

I barely have enough time for Possum (luckily my girl has plenty at the moment) let alone spare time to try sleuthing out the identity of strange Anonybirds in Sydney.

Anonymous said...

Phew! I'm glad that wasn't you G3TFilms or I would have told you to get a haircut and you should know Sydney is one big zoo!

Tsup*!* Thankyou Bimbimbie, your concern for my welfare is commendable :) I wouldn't bother with the police; I might have pecked the eyes out of a monster like that!

HUH!?! I see black swans all over the place and all the time KJ!?! You are a rare one! :)

Anonymous said...

WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA! 'Something' just snuck up behind me!

It disappeared as quickly as it appeared ... must value its eyesight ...

SCAT CAT!

Ces Adorio said...

They remind me of fairy tales.

Anonymous said...

Of course Ces! There was always a swan in the background watercolours of Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin, Puss-in-boots and Sleeping Beauty to name a few! I wonder if Snow White's evil step mother had a Black Swan in her garden!?!
