Good news is the grass has FINALLY slowed down and needs less mowing! It's misty outside today...

Tsup*!* Our grass is a light shade of green again following a shower the other day. It's great that the grass is going to have a rest for a few months yipee *!*

I got dragged outside by some of "my" noisy miners and rainbows up high in the gum tree ... another case of we made you luck ha ha Tsup*!*

Thanks Simon, the Birds of Paradise are the brightest but don't fly very fast! OOOHHH YES! I can only remember Blue Gum Forest when misty! *huddling tin cup of tea* :)

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie, finally you've had some rain! HAHAAA, I guess being dragged by the Lorikeets and Miners isn't a too bad way to be forced to wake ;) We have LOTS of Little Lorikeets screaming across the sky but they don't rest in my backyard. Time to go for an early walk to the tallest trees before mist is permanently in the way of their portraits being taken!

When Jack's away the Miners shall play...

I suppose Jack stayed at home though... nevermind :-D

I think the bird in that first photograph is a supermodel of the birdy worlds - brilliant!

I've got some video action on my blog for you Anon [doesn't involve waves and sand though... hee hee... you dark horse you!]

Heehee, Jack was watching them out the window, Miladysa :) I believe the same about the Miner in that first photograph! Although, she's stuffing her beak in the others.
SHHHHH! I don't know WHAT you're talking about, I'm a BIRD! Will flutter over to yours as soon as able ;)

I was balancing on the edge of a rail on the veranda when shooting the first wingspread! I don't even have a number, KJ :) Heehee

Tsup*!* Had to leave in a hurry earlier I've just re-read what I said ... should have pointed out the luck was plopped on me from above - those rainbows have been indulging in too much fairy floss.

I love the little miner asking the big flowerbirdie if he can do this too hmmm ? Tsup *!*

Tsup*!* They made you look AND luck Bimbimbie! Heehee, agree forced to wake by means of an added fairy floss surprise would help one hurry! HHEHHEEE - very funny, such a polite!?! Miner! :)

Corblimey yet another dose of bird envy for me! Fluffy mynah is so GORGEOUS! The grass in your picture looks the same as the grass over here, it must be the time of year when our climates cross over... NOT good if you have hayfever. :( Ggrrrrr atchooo snuuurghffff!!!!

It rained again and I need to mow the lawn. I wish I could just get a goat.

I love bird-of-paradise! Add a miner and it's a perfect series of shots. :) What is he after, seeds? Eli's folks are in Greece and as they left they called from the airport ... they forgot about the lawn and asked us to mow it. Two weeks around here with a cut and it would be up to their eyeballs!

Love the birdie ballet in the top pic! They're graceful for little noisy chaps aren't they? Grass? What grass? All I seem to have are weeeeeeeeeeeeds!

"Corblimey"! I haven't seen that word written down ... ever, Bird! HAHA :) Fluffy is a sweetie, and the last to leave the care of his parents. EWWWWW! There's ENOUGH Ggrrrrr atchooo snuuurghffffing here thankyou! ;)

Goats only eat your washing Debra Kay!

Thanks Melissa! He's after the pollen first, Noisy Miners are Honeyeaters :) AHHHHH, now I know why my parents have wood chip instead of lawn at their place!

Arabesque Baino! They are entertaining to watch, and fine gymnasts too! Hhehheee, I guess your grass area is a little large for a 'gardener' to go around and weed for you ;)

I say such a beautiful bird pose on top of the birds of paradise flowers and yes, it's good to go home to tall grass.

Tall grass is better than dead grass Ces :)
