Hello! Summer in Australia officially begins on the first of December. Because Mini Minor took the limelight, my Spring Parade was put on hold! It's only a few days before the end of Spring, so will continue with the 'Afternoon Delights' RIGHT NOW or we will never see the splash of a Summer Pool Party!
Anon says she will keep putting her "What Bird is Mini Minor?" post at the top of MY parade posts until the poll is up on the weekend. BLAH!! So watch our POST FIGHT until next week and don't forget to check underneath the Mini post for the latest from the Afternoon Delights - just in case Anon is winning at some point. I expect she'll want me to remind you all to vote once the poll is there ... Jack
To begin the 'Afternoon Delights' in the Spring Parade, I will start with the models Anon was counting on being the Adoptive Parents of Mini Minor! They haven't before dared to enter our garden because of the Magpies. However, they have been visiting most days since Mini was in the garden! BLAHHH! They aren't even delightful!! I think they have flown over from Lavenders! ... Jack

Jack doesn't have to check for castle invader evidence anymore! :) I love these guys in your photos, super yellow eye markings. The temps have been chilly here and that brings lots of birds to my feeders and suet. Saw one of my favorites the other day, a brown creeper creeping up a tree in the front yard!

Poor Jack has to sleep in a tissue box at night because Mini smellied his bed up so bad we have to make a new one Melissa! A tree creeper ... get that camera ready, I want to see! :)

That's Jack who says they came from your place Lavender! I spotted where their nest is two doors down and one door behind! It's quite odd they are visiting now, maybe they are looking for Mini's mealworms. They still look like robbers!
I try to encourage other birds to attack Mynas..... and scare them off if they think they can land in my place....
Brown tree creeper! A wonderful bird.... did you know there is another that starts at the top of every tree and works their way DOWN! True!! ( they are not related to the tree creeper) As you know a tree creeeper starts at the bottom of every tree and works there way UP! :O)
I can just imagine you running out flapping your arms at the Mynas to show the others Simon :) Believe it or not, one of the birds I thought Mini might be was a Brown Treecreeper! Does a treecreeper go backwards on the way down Simon? Isn't that a Tree'runner' or Varied Sittella that starts at the top Heehee ...
