I have a bottlebrush tree in my front yard and the humming birds and bees just love it.

The Wattlebird looks sort of like the Mocking Birds here!

Thanks Melissa! That's one of the babies helping itself to its own lunch for one of the first times.

The Wattlebirds live here Catnapping! However the bees must have joined the swarm that headed to the city!

She's a baby Wattle Sharon, so her wattles haven’t grown large enough to see them yet. I don't know what a mocking bird looks like!

If I didn't know better, I'd say you were trying to influence the outcome of the poll! I stand firm, Kookaburras, Lorikeets and Butcher Birds still rule! And if it's a Wattlebird, what's it doing in a Calistemon?

HAHHAAA, there is a reason why Jack isn't allowed to talk in these comments Baino! Those are fine selections, even if the Lorikeets are only being voted for being 'pretty' ;) We don't have any wattle trees, besides wrong time of the year for flowering HA!

I think I need some of these flowers to clean my vase! :-) Amazing clarity on these photographs. Just lovely. I look at some of your photographs and then try to remember them as I draw the birds on my illustrations. This is such a rich blog.

Hhahaaa, not brushes for cleaning but decorating Ces! I am honoured some of my birds are portrayed in your drawings :)
