Favourite Perch

When I'm outside, I'm sometimes thankful for Anon's shoulder...

to eat ... (that's Bearman's pinky - Anon's looks like a worm)

to sing ... (my voice needs to reach the 'others' says Anon)

to watch the other birds .... (they are big!) Oh! I'm wet because Anon splashed me.

Anon says my new Adoptive Parents live two doors down and they are already watching me from over the wall! Hello!! ... Mini Minor

Mini Minor's new Adoptive Parents have found us instead of the other way around :)

That's great that a family nearby has found, and shown an interest in her. I'm sure it is a great comfort to you. It will be fun to continue to see her in future pictures if she and her family live in the neighborhood.

I love that first picture. They are all nice. How cute.

Elms are LOVELY trees. They have a feather-duster shape.

Hi Miladysa :) Mini Minor DOES always have her eye on me because she has a bottomless stomach!

YES Red Mojo! We knew they were there but also know their 'boundary' which stops at the fence of our garden - thanks to the Magpies and Wattlebirds. I'm not being sarcastic HAHA. We only see them occasionally when being chased away within the first minute of visiting!

Ohhh, we don't have feather duster shaped trees here Mary Stebbins Taitt - ours drop a lot of leaves and branches after storms like yesterday. Doing the opposite to what a feather duster does HAHA.

Yes, for real Mini will be adopted KJ! She still can't do more than pick up, then drop a worm. She is being given lessons on finding them amongst leaves and grass but a Myna Family will feed her if alone in their territory. We will have to wait and see what exactly happens :)

HAHAH? Umbingo?

HAHHAAA, yes she is ready to leave because I'm also growing attached Baino :) Luckily the Currawongs have moved on lately but there will be a few of us protecting her when it comes to her initial 'release'. Mini can fly in a small circle and reach a lower branch now - without an aeroplane :)

I think, because of their tight social structure, she will be adopted and quick :o)

Yes Simon, I've seen it happen before - an orphan Myna fed within five minutes of being found :)

I've also forgotten to mention my youngest son took the top four photos in this post!

Whow! That really is amazing about the adoption... I thought you meant a human neighbour at first!

HAHA, no I wouldn't trust another human with her care, not one who's close by anyway Miladysa :) She needs to be with a Myna Family ... sometimes you have to let go of those you love :)
