The new baby Magpie seems to be fed ALL the time! I would be a bundle of nerves if my baby screamed that often :)

Jack, that's the Lorikeet calling the Magpie black! I'm going deaf listening to your lot this morning! What a racket!

HAHHHAAA you're right Baino! They all seem extra loud when it's raining too! I'm a grumpy early bird this morning ... Jack wants food NOW :)

Maybe the young Magpie has got lock-jaw and is screaming because it dos'nt want any more food shoved in it's beak!

HAHA You could be right Modroom! If it wasn't for the post before this one, baby Magpie has lock-jaw!

If birds wore socks, what do you think they'd put in that baby's mouth?

It's feeding time! A mother birds work is never done -- what a hungry little guy she has! The other day at a restaurant Charlotte was asking for some of my soup and sat their with her mouth gaping open, shouting, "I'M A BABY BIRD!" Seems all hungry babies are LOUD. :)

You must be out there in bird-disguise to get such great pictures!
I will be off the blogs for a while, there is a newly-hatched chick in the glebe over in Anonycountry which we will be visiting, and I can see some of the noisy fauna for myself.

Ummm errrr a sock Red Mojo? Hhehheheee

It's ALWAYS feeding time Melissa! I gave up on restaurants when my boys were little. Be thankful Charlotte didn't try to lay an egg! HAHHAAA :)

The birds in the backyard know me ElizT :) How exciting about your newly hatched chick! When you return, any chance of seeing photographs or hearing stories? Please don't take too long .... I'm a year past my return date at Artwork Blog! Hope you revisit one last time to make your vote in the Midday Variety!

It must be survival for baby magpies MerlinPrincesse, because all the babies do it! HAHHAAAA

Sharon, we only get Ravens here, so these Magpies probably do look like crows without the Raven's neck shackle and with an added penguin dinner suit!

merlinprincesse said...

WAAAAAa! Sharron is RIGHT!!!! The crows and magpie are really similar. Since we don't have magpies here up North or ravens, I guess the crows are our equivalent of magpies. They are very intelligent birds. I remember seiing a boy, in my childhood, with his crow pet! :) YEAH! Did I ever tell you that the crow is the top om my totem...? With a tiny ladybug.....hhehehehe.... Should draw it someday.. :) *sigh*

MerlinPrincesse, how long do your crows grow (without a Ladybug attached) in centimeters?

merlinprincesse said...

mmm..... I would say about 10 inches...hhhhehe eeeee... Maybe 8 or 12. Like human ones, there are small and big ones.... Means from 20 to 30 cm.... Next time I see a crow, I will measure it.... I have lots of muffins they could stole... Mwhahahhhahaha! ... I will check on google...

Merlinprincesse is totally wrong and should change her glasses. I can measure, from beak to tail, between 43 an 53 cm.... Kwak!

Okay! The Australian Magpie grows up to 44-45cm but our Ravens 52 - so your crows are more the size of our Ravens!
