This is what was happening behind me while I was photographing his Sister in the Bottlebrush tree!
Hahahaha! Sneaky cheeky Wattle bird...hmmm, was it a poppy seed muffin by any chance? ;)
YES it WAS a poppy seed muffin Lavender!!!
AHA! See, that explains it! Tehehe!!!!
OH, have you had a wattle steal your poppy seeds before, Lavender? Simon says they love cheese! Wonder if he often eats cheese sandwiches in his garden ...
...I don't know.
Not yet, Im very vigilant with my muffins in the garden - all for me!!! Tehehe
I wonder about the cheese myself, but then, to each his own, eh? I have a kitty who loves cheese, so why not a cheese stuffed Red Wattle bird?
I don't know either Harry Blown and already said that!
None of us know whether Simon eats cheese sandwiches in his garden. I hope you aren't thinking of a cheese stuffed Red Wattle for your kitty Lavender!!!! Hhhahhaaaa
Get stuffed.
BoiledEggInADeckchair, I'm doing that right now with a boiled egg sandwich!
Don't get stuffed.
Okay BoiledEggInADeckchair, I can't anyway because already stuffed with two boiled egg sandwiches :) You are NOT my teapot!
they sure do love cheese... most birds do, its good for them... but not too salty...
You should make your thief some bottle brush muffins! Wouldn't those be something to see? :) I had no idea there were no hummingbirds down your way ... we have many ruby-throats and once a hummer followed me down a wooded path because I had a bright pink shirt on. It thought I was a huge flower!
HAHA I believe you Simon and going to try a cheese sandwich in the garden next time!
Hhhehhehee, I don't mind baking muffins, Melissa! Although the Bottlebrushes in my back yard have finished flowering now. I can imagine you as a big flower in your shirt and I'm not even a bird - really ;)
Oh I do miss hummers, Anon, you would absolutely Love them! I guess we have to take Simons word for it (Cause 'Simon Says') Tehehe but Im quite partial to cheese, and so probally wont share it with the birds...although it would be quite good in an omlette
HAHAHAHAHA!
Have watched Hummers in movies on the internet, even in slow motion! I don't share my food either Lavender, the birds STEAL it! Hhahhhaaaa, I might try talking about omelettes when eating my muffins and sandwiches, maybe the birds will think twice about 'sharing' :)
I have many hummers at my house all summer long. Maybe I can try to catch some footage next year. Shouldn't be too hard.
That would be excellent Red Mojo!!
