Not MORE Miners! There are so many Noisy photos, making another post of them. The video has been moved because many missed it. That little one makes that noise from sun up to down! Outside Son's bedroom window *hehhehheeeee*

What!? Noisy birds? NO! Surely you must be joking! I can't imagine - the next thing you'll say is that they poop too.
hahahahahah!

The Noisy Miners should be named Really Noisy Miners Joy Eliz! REALLY! Hhahhahhaaa :)

anon, are you saying you have cheeps and chrips from morning to night? maybe you should rig up the noise of it all and force your dear blogger friends to endure it with you--haha!

I HAVE KJ! Didn't you see the film at the bottom of this post? It is long enough to not want to watch the whole thing and that's just the smallest bird making the noise!

kj said...

yes, anon, you're right that it's not the same when you can shut the cheeps off.

btw, that yellow eye is pretty wild.

Guess what I just asked for for my birthday? A bird bath! :) I want to join in the fun. Can you believe I don't have a pool for my birds? I've used the dishes from planters in the past and have drawn quite a crowd. But the can used it as a drinking dish ... sheesh.

The video totally fooled the girls! I started it up and Charlotte froze, saying, "Do you hear that bird?!!" LOL. She also told me recently that birdwatching is boring. GASP! (faints dead away and upon reviving promptly removed eldest daughter from her will)

The CAN? Good Lord, I meant the CAT!

Wait until I get the whole ruddy Miner Family on film ... you'll be shutting that off even before halfway, KJ! HAHHAHHAAAA They ARE wild!

Excellent choice for a birthday present Melissa :)))) It will have to stand high away from the can - I mean CAT! Hhehheeeee If Charlotte froze upon hearing a new bird, I think she's really trying to hide the fact she's fighting an overwhelming desire to bird watch and is seriously a HUGE natural watcher! Hhehheeee, better change that will again ;)

Awwwr! Look at his little chest.

Delightful :-D

Wringing wet Miladysa! But don't try wringing him dry because it will squash him ... :) That reminds me about the phrase “I’ll wring your neck!”

I love noisy Miners! They all get together and carry on when they see our Diamond Python!

Their feet feel like little pins when they land on my hand!

Bird baths are very cool.. We have 2!

Holy bird poop! I thought my ear lobes wopuld drop off. I wish we had those birds so they can drown the fiesta music blaring from the neighboors boom box.

That Joy Eliz is a riot!

I don't know what "would" means but I now what "would" means.

They are very light birds, and do have pin feeling feet Simon :) The more baths the merrier and cleaner ...

I hope your ear lobes have stayed attached and drums recovered Ces! Yet you still would like the Noisies to blast away in your garden!?! I'm sure Joy Eliz can be just as noisy ;) Knock on wood!

They do sound a lot like our Starlings. I have a misguided one who wakes up in the middle of the night outside my window and begins chirping. Silly silly bird. Or maybe he's truly the early bird.

Bimbimbie said...

I'm guessing wash day Monday *!*

Anonymous said...

Debra Kay, Starlings are from the same family Sturnidae as Miners! I think you might have a true Early Bird there! HAHA

Hhehheeee, you must be thinking there are an awful lot of birds in water around here Bimbimbie - that's because we are in the middle of a pool party! Wash day is every day until after the party is over ;) Tsup*!* Tsup*!*

Who needs an alarm when you have these guys in the garden. They have a different call when there's a lizard on the grass or a dog walking under their tree! I've fished many a suffering drenched minor out of the bath we use to water the horses! Couple of hours in a cardboard box and they dry out and off they go!

I think you're starting to understand Bird Language Baino! Unfortunately they are tough birds; hahhahhaaaa - KIDDING!

Annoyi Noisy? ;o) I have crows and seaguls near my bedroom window. Tell that to son! Baby crow wanting lunch from 4 am to eight pm is NOT so fun.... Gladly, at night, I have the sound of drunk people getting out of bars near my apartment... So I can't hear those birds.... errr.... Well....

We have crows and seagulls too MerlinPrincesse, but talking about the Noisy Miners in this post. Heehee. Luckily we moved away from living next door to a hotel more than ten years ago, but I know what you mean!!!
