Mmm... A bird you don't know does not come on your hand so easily... I think... Not the birds here...

I haven't had my coffee yet MerlinPrincesse Hhehehhhee :)

That's right Simon, Mini would be wearing her Autumn colours today and be a lot larger ;)

Click on the 'Mini' link and you'll see her in the same bathing session MerlinPrincesse. They are just different photos :) We DO get the odd Lorikeet who will sit on our hand but they are usually escapees ... :)

I clicked! Guess I did not see the photo... I found her small..Hheheh. Guess I'M the nostalgic! I prefer not having crows and seaguls sit on my hand... Hhehehe. Not a lot of birds here yet...

Yes, there are never before seen photos ;) You ARE nostalgic MerlinPrincesse! Crows and seagulls can stay off my hands also ... both would take food from them though! We are still in Summer weather here ... stormy and steamy! Now COFFEE!!!!

Hi Anonymous Bird, I've found you through Bimbimbies Blog.

I have to say all your blogs are too enjoyable. The ducklings below are particularly cute, but then again, when has a duckling not been? Besides when it's a Swan that is :)

Anonymous said...

Hello G3TFilms, thanks for visiting :) You're right about not going wrong on the cute scale with ducklings, but have you seen the extra cute CYGNETS whose cuteness will bowl you over ;)

Melissa said...

Oh what a cutie!! :) I was excited to see that a Canada goose is nesting in a spot where she has returned year after year to raise her goslings. I hope that fishing season doesn't scare her away like it did one year. :(

Anonymous said...

That is exciting Melissa! Is there anything you could do as a Protector like dress as a monster fish or flap your wings at the fishermen? Maybe a "please care about the nesting birds" sign would help?

I miss mini, ohhhh.

Anonymous said...

Mini is such a cutie. Did she bite you? Cuties can be meanies. Grrrr....

Anonymous said...

Ohhhhhh poor Red Mojo :( I will make a point of visiting her territory soon! After the Pool Party ... which is actually later ... but we'll get there!

Mini's bill was too soft to feel any pecks but she was just enthusiastic about being fed at the time, Perriette. Her pecks were stronger when she flew the coup but that was good - she could feed herself then :) Mini was a GOOD cutie and NEVER bit because didn't have any teeth!

Wot ugly little things! Not! they're so cute you could almost eat them... if that wasn't a little wrong. That's the last time I trust a children's fable and believe that the ugly duckling was so just because she was a swan.

Did you snap those in Sydney?

Debra Kay said...

She's lovely. I'll have a bird picture to post on Saturday or Sunday-there is to be a new arrival in our home.

Anonymous said...

Just think of them as being like hairballs made from feathers to diminish any urges to eat the cygnets G3TFilms ;) Ducks must have written that fable! That's why humans don't see baby swans as ugly - the ducks were jealous! All these photographs are of birds in and around Sydney. The swans were right in the city's center!

You are being very mysterious but a whole lot of anticipation and excitement has been thrown into your comment Debra Kay!!!

I think Merlin Princesse is right. A bird will not come back to you unless she recognizes you, unless of course they are the crows in City Hall where they attacked the passers-by. I mean real crows, birds, not the crows inside City Hall, it' was like a Hitchcock movie. Two women were hospitalized for being pecked on their heads and faces. Is that bizzare? We wondered if the birds were set up by the council so no one would complain.

That bird is so tiny, one bite and everything is gone including the beak and feathers. I just ate a bird, a turkey sandwich. Hahaha!

Ohhhhh, I have a video of what happened at the end of Jack's Birthday Party, Ces named "Birds" which is just like the Hitchcock movie but didn't want you all to be afraid of Jack (even if he IS King) :O The women being attacked isn't so bizaare if the birds were protecting nests - or thought they were. Horrific though! Just like YOU thinking about EATING MINI!!!!

I Have to "hand" it to you Anon!

Poor Lorenzo- she is a vegetarian, so I think you have turned her off Emu oil ;o)

Anonymous said...

Hahhaa Simon! *curtsey* OH NO! Why didn't you tell me Lorenzo is vegetarian? I did first comment emu oil came from feathers as a precaution ... then you went on about boiling birds up. Lorenzo's present mental condition is now all YOUR fault Simon! *glurp*

i wanted it to be mini.....

It IS Mini KJ!!!!! :)

kj said...

i want it to be mini today...

Anonymous said...

It IS today KJ!!!! :) So if that IS Mini and it IS today you should be HAPPY! I will seek her out tomorrow for you ... *sigh*

Anon -- I've been considering the sign idea for years and maybe I should finally do it! I like the monster fish idea ... hee heee. I would also like to put up a sign about disposing of fishing line properly. One year I saw a Canada goose with a long string of fishing line out of its bill and it kept trying to swallow it. :(

Kim de Young said...

Hola! Mini Miner, welcome to fall!

ElizT said...

I saw three starlings close up yesterday, had never realised how handsome they are!

Anonymous said...

YES! Fishing line has also been a problem here Melissa! Luckily our local councils have erected official signs, but doing your own is a good start - maybe even send an anonymous photograph of your signs to the local paper to get 'official' things rolling! HAHA.

Welcome to "fall" Princesse Pepper Cloud!?! OHHHHHH Autumn! I've always thought 'falling' as odd around this time of year ;)

They ARE handsome ElizT! Great to hear you closely inspecting your local birdlife :))

Minnie *sob* I mmmisss her!

Will she be having babies in the spring?

Anonymous said...

I couldn't find her on the weekend Miladysa, but will search again soon :) She first has to survive Autumn and Winter before Spring! (She might also be a 'He') Hhahhahaa

Miladysa said...

Not a sex change Miner?

My love shall not waiver which ever way Minnie swings ;-D

Anonymous said...

HAHHAHHAAAA, she's a 'SHE' forever because I say so Miladysa - unlike all the other horrible boys around this place! Mini is a STARLING! Remember she's much better than a Common Miner!
