Spring of Teal

Even if not Spring time, there is a spring of Chestnut Teal to the party!

They were having a lot of fun on a very hot day! Think our Summer has arrived late ...

I always found it interesting that teals are such drab birds however the color teal is anything but.

If I could paint I would use the colours of your photographs as a palette!

I want to join them in the water it looks so inviting... I am sure they would not mind ;-D

In flight, the females (mottled brown) have a narrow white wingbar and dark green or teal speculum above - which surpasses any 'teal' colour Debra Kay!

Watch out!!! You will break your neck Miladysa! That water is more shallow than knee height beside a Mangrove swamp full of mud! Best try painting ... ;)

The Teal sprang into the spring and sprung out again?

There was a spring of Teal but not a spring of water Modroom. The spring did spring in and sprang out of the water though :)

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* I do believe your rainbows are wanting to join in with those party ducks *!*
I just watched your clip on Jack the Wizard - is it yours, it's brilliant *!*

HI Ces! Don't work too hard, you need the energy in less than two week's time for Jack's Party!

Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie! The Rainbows want to join in with everything, even my meals! That is Jack being a Wizard, and he's a Red-collared Lorikeet who will be having a Birthday Party in less than two weeks time where you can read all about him in a "Jack -This is Your Life" post! Jack IS brilliant!!! PS: The movie and us are Jack's, not the other way around ;)

Dear Jack

I was prompted by bimbimbie to watch your video entitled Jack the Wizzzzzard.

I must say I was might impressed by the work you have undertaken with your human - I know how hard it can be - they are not at all easy to work with.

I would love to know the secret of your success.

I love the idea of the lorikeets crashing the teal party! I can just see the rainbows splashing in and the teals rolling their eyes and saying, "Oh, Lord, who invited the *lorikeets* ..." as they discreetly paddle away to find a quieter pond. :)

HAHHAHHAAA, I think the Chestnut Teals would be desperately paddling away from the Lorikeets with no discretion about it Melissa :)

Hhehheee Red Mojo, Sydney is known for its beautiful weather but that seems to be changing - perhaps ducks will start holidaying elsewhere ... ;)
