I'm back! Will see your posts within the next week ... a week away was a long time!
What amazing feathers!
Good to see you back - hope you had a lovely break.
I hope you had a good time!
I got a great bird list from our trip.
Best part? watching guys fishing in the Darling for hours- then, when they left a whistling kite simply plucked a large fish from the water from the very spot they were fishing! :o)
The feathers are all fluffed up for drying Caroline :) A little overwhelmed with how much I've missed ... catching up might have to be missed! WHAAAAA ...
It's my first complete week off from blogging EVER Simon! Very funny how the Whistling Kite is a superior fisherbird to fishermen :)
These birds are so cute, and the best part is, I can't hear them!
Because they ARE NOISY Red Mojo! Hhehhehheee :)
Hooray, you're back! Hope you had a great time off! These are great shots -- getting all fuzzy and dry in the sun. :)
Thanks Melissa :) This Miner poses daily - they sure like keeping clean, even when it's raining!
so, how did you cope having a blogging free week??
Lets just say I'm not coping trying to catch up Simon, and maybe taking regular weeks off isn't such a good idea after all .... :O Perhaps I just have a blog free week to compare now! ;)
We did miss you and your birds.
AWWWW thanks ElizT :)
Glad you're back, I missed you too!
Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Yeah for the day you and your feathered friends are back*!*
AWWWW, we really were missed!?! Conked out half way through this day but we are still here *flutter*
Thanks Debra Kay and Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie :)
Welcome back Anon. A week is indeed a long time away from blogland especially for you, ever so popular!
Welcome back!
Awrrr Little Fuzzy Wuzzy :-D
Sweet!
How cute!
And a belated Happy Birthday to Jack... he is a beautiful & handsome bird. I really love the shot of him in flight in front of the Christmas tree.
I've recognized the noisy miner at first sight! Guess I'm becoming a specialist in Australian birds... LOL! Still find it's yellow eye very strange... :)
Welcome back, my friend. Hope you had a nice week! :)
Forgot to tell you... Yesterday, I saw an albinos Lorikeet... Yup! At the petshop! What a cutie! He looked at me and was all excited that I was talking to him... :) I think that I would have bought it if I would have not had to ferocious kitties... ;o)
It's a wash-and-go bird!
Soggy cheep cheep! Welcome back hope you had a nice break.I'm saving my hols! *sob* and I can hear them from here! (Oh no that would by MY cheeky Charlies!)
Sweet fluffed up little birdie! Looks like he went mad with the hairdryer : )
Give that bird some sun!
Thanks Ces! I tried missing three days once but only managed to not post. This time I really was away from the computer! It's a different world out there ... ;)
HAHA, I missed your naming the birds Miladysa. Little Fuzzy Wuzzy it is! Being a Honeyeater he should be sweet but remember they also eat GARBAGE! Hhehheheee
Hi Sharon! Jack shoots around like that in front of the television and computer sometimes :)
YAY MerlinPrincesse! Noisy Miners still look like Robbers because they are! Thanks, it was a break :)
Shame about your having ferocious kitties ...
Wash-and-go nowhere bird Captain Modroom9! They still stay in our garden ;)
HAHA thanks Baino, I'm working on more hols at the end of next month - they were suppossed to be saved for the end of the year but won't last that long! They ARE noisy aren't they!!
It was a windy day AKiteRises HAHA :)
The Noisy Miner does look slightly pathetic Tony LaRocca. Hhahhahaa. Ooops, late afternoon - will have to let the sea breeze do the work instead ;)
Don't recall seeing a bird with such BIG eyes. He looks like a hellcat just spit him out.
Those big eyes are an optical illusion Perriette, to trick Hellcats into thinking the birds are larger than they are! I think the Miners would peck out any Hellcat eyes that might come their way ... WATCH OUT! Hhehhehee
