Rosella

King Jack Early one morning an Eastern Rosella flew into the tree above, for a minute screamed directly at ME, then flew away. I've never seen one in our backyard before. Anon hasn't seen one in the area for more than twenty years! I must say he is ALMOST as handsome as myself! I ignored him anyway... Jack

Photographs taken in seconds! It was very odd the way he flew in just to yell at Jack ...

Tehehe, I wonder what his objection was? Well captured, Anon! On the rare occasion that these come through here, they stay high and deep in the tree. Perhaps they are just really camera shy?

Some secret bird message, Lavender. I was surprised Jack didn't answer! It's the quietest reaction I've seen from him ever. The Eastern Rosella was paying no attention to me or the camera ... it was all about Jack in less than sixty seconds!

They are beautiful MerlinPrincesse, when seen in the right lighting conditions :) Jack doesn't even know where he is!

I think Jack knows he's in a wonderful place, not having to hunt for food with very nice people who are SPOILING him...Hhehehehe! :)

That seems to be the kind we have, flinging themselves around in small flocks, whistling.

MerlinPrincesse, that's for the owls!

KJ, yes the colour of the sky did show well because aiming that way :) I've never heard of a person named after a parrot! Aim and shoot! I am feeling cool now the sun is setting it was a hot day today ... must close the windows ;)

This Rosella was alone and NOT whistling. Perhaps he wasn't happy because alone, ElizT :)

Im so curious about the exchange...as Im sure we all are - but I guess if I knew everything, Id be bored instead of amazed - so its a good thing?

Hhehhee, it must be a good thing Lavender, but don't feel satisified either. A mystery never to be solved :)

What a beauty! Isn't it fun when a new feathered buddy shows up? I call Eli at work all excited -- he calls them my "bird calls." :)

I thought you were going to post photos of a rash. Then I remembered that was roseola. Hahaha!

Melissa, haha, your household sounds as birdbrained as mine! The word 'Birdbrained' is much better than what others might think :)

Jack just winked your way Joy Eliz!

Isn't it a great bum 'I love Jack best'! Those three shots were all I had time for, so blogged them all for that reason. Jack's butt is better looking ;)

*BWARK!*, Not A Cat!

HAHAHHAHHAAAA. Dear Ces, have a restful weekend ;)
