Cookie isn't saying or doing very much. Perhaps he feels he doesn't need to put much effort into his Spring Parade to win!
Subtle is good! Very restful, I would like to be up a tree with him.
Cookie isn't too good at performing, Modroom! You have to look very carefully to see his tail move. That is a Spring breeze in the trees ... only yesterday morning :)
My goodness, yes that is a very low key workout Tehehe! Nice footage - I bet you were hoping he'd give us a laugh while you filmed - maybe they are cluey like the wattle birds! Love these guys!
Our kookaburras only laugh in the afternoon here Lavender, but Cookie had better laugh by the time we are viewing the Afternoon Delights! It is quite nice in the mornings with birds listening and calling with their whereabouts :)
AH! My kind of exercise! This bird is wise! :)
Don't strain yourself MerlinPrincesse! Hehhehee
Cookie is one laid back fellow -- I felt relaxed just watching him ... the crrrrrouch aaaaaaand the fluff. All these handsome birds (and their tooties, Charlotte would argue) make me want to grab my binoculars and tour Australia!
Grabbing binoculars and touring Australia is a great idea Melissa! Better than sitting on my tootie in the backyard ... ;)
This morning, I'm trying a new exercise. Mooooove your little toe! WAAAAAAAAAA! Fun! :) I think Mr Cookie is just waiting for MRS Cookie. She has said to him "STAY THERE" and he did! :))))))
i did not know my relative cookie had a brilliant blue beak. ok, maybe it's not really blue but it looks it.
very royal. and laid back. no wonder we are related either by genetics or cosmology.
:)
You saw my next post MerlinPrincesse! Hhehheee. Actually, Mr Cookie always stakes out the backyard before Mrs joins him. They only laugh when being territorial, which happens a few houses away later in the day. That might be where their nest is! :)
KJ, his beak does have a blue 'hint' to match the flecks on his wings, more easily seen in morning light when there is a blue sky ;)
I love the part when he runs away from home and elopes with the beautiful princess.
Hhahahhaa, not as much action as that Hardwax!
