I love having the Crested-Pigeons around. They are pretty and relatively quiet too!

Very! I remember the punks from last year, too. Ooooroooo!! Oi!

Anonymous said...

They tend to pick up the colours from their environment. See these SHOTS from wintertime, Perriette!

Click 'SHOTS' in the comment above you Egghead, before I shoot you! Or to make it even more confusing, you can click on 'Crested-Pigeon' in the sidebar! HAH!!

Keep your hair on. You only had to say.

*sigh*

I've thrown my deckchair then clicked on the link and looked. It was nice, thank you.

I have NO hair Egghead. I have FEATHERS and don't deserve a sigh! I'm "sighing" you! *SIGH SIGH SIGH!*

That was a pleasure Egghead. More for you than me. Where can I find my own deckchair? Oh there's one down there ...

They look like extra big quail.

Anonymous said...

They do a bit ElizT! Extra big quail that fly and have feather cuts with attitude :)

I love the pigeon punk do! And her winter colors are lovely. Last night I heard a screech owl outside my window as I was doing some journaling. I love their call.

I'm more than positive this is Egg's Mum.

Melissa, I call her "Punk". I call her Husband a punk too because they are difficult to tell apart :) We don't have screech owls here, I'd imagine it could sound scary in the night!

BoiledEggInADeckchair has more than just a mohawk Joy Eliz! He has a Deckchair too! HHAHAHHHAAAAA

Egghead, how do you keep your hair on while hanging upside down. OH, it must be teapot power! blah

I love that older shot with the one napping.

Perriette, Punk naps all the time in that tree, especially when a storm is arriving. She is showing her true colours in that older photograph :)

Coincidences! I was gone for the day before your Punk was up Anon, so Im sorry Im so tardy!
But whilst out on my bike yesterday, I met one of these - it was sitting on the ground watching me roll toward it on my bike. I spoke to it - nicely! - and it continued to stare at me as though I was the most outrageous thing it had ever seen......I wondered what was so extra-ordinary about me - but it wouldnt answer - it just walked away. :)

Anonymous said...

HAHAHHAA, I forgive you for being tardy Lavender :) Punks don't talk much especially if you are being nice ... they have attitude!

Mademoiselle Princesse said...

Blah! He should cut his hair and get a good job!

Anonymous said...

SCAT CAT!

Anonymous said...

Lavender, he was probably staring at you because he had never seen a lavender colored person before. And one who smells so nice!

Mlle, looks like you need to cut your hair and get a job! hehehee Phooey!

Oooh! I love this bird. It looks sleepy and the punk rocker look reminds me of Alfalfa. Hahaha!

Lavender said...

Oh Thank you Perriette! After I wrote that I wondered if it wasnt jealous of my purple cycling helmet....maybe Puky was contemplating getting a colour rinse in its topknot?!

Anon, yes, there was alot of attitude in its walk...most impertinent!

Anonymous said...

*ignoring Perriette who has turned into a Little Rascal nowhere as cute as Alfalfa*

Punk is just very comfortable in our backyard Ces, which is why she looks sleepy a lot of the time :) Punk is as cute as Alfalfa too! Hhahahhahaaaa.

'Puky' is how I feel when Perriette pretends to be me Lavender! *vomit* Punks already have a shade of Lavender! Most impertinent!! Hhehehheeee

HARDWAX said...

I love the look. May I borrow one of these photos to show my hairdresser? Hey Jack.

Anonymous said...

Oh course Hardwax! It will ensure your hairdresser will give you a serious haircut! Hhehheheeee. I'm not Jack.

Anonymous said...

When would I ever pretend to be you? And why? Puke, indeed!!

You are welcome, Lavender.

HARDWAX said...

Thanks not Jack.
Am I crazy. or are there not thumbnails of Jack as he talks to us with each set of pictures?

Ces Adorio said...

Yes, indeed the thumbnail is Jack and the messages are by Jack but Anon is a jealous bird when we say hello to Jack, why Anon?

P.S. I "heart" you Jack

merlinprincesse said...

Me too Jack! Mwah! :) *getting out of the way cause Jack seems to want to pee on us*

Anonymous said...

THE Birdbrains (no names) have forgotten already the first post named 'Spring Parade' says, "King Jack will be our perhaps not kind Compare, therefore will NOT be allowed near the audience or their comments." *SIGH*

kj said...

"our perhaps not kind Compare..."

what the hell does that MEAN, anon??

:)

Anonymous said...

*SIGH* KJ! Are there 'compares' in America? Jack is comparing the Morning Range for your later voting. He most probably won't be kind about how the birds will be presenting themselves first thing in the morning.... noon or afternoon.

I am up to 'C' visiting blogs but I have missed yours for a couple of days KJ! Or it feels like it :)

Ahah!!! I don't know my Australian birds, but I did wonder if it was some kind of pigeon :-D Quite striking!

Anonymous said...
