Look Who's Here!

King Jack Cookie appears to be laughing on the inside. I have NO idea why! Is someone doing something funny in the audience? ... Jack

Oh Anon, these shots are to DIE for! You do such a great job!
My Little Wattle birds chased off a King parrot yesterday - Im so miffed with them!! We hadnt had a King parrot stop here before and as soon as Id gotten the camera, waited for it to turn on, found the King in the viewfinder - BOOM - he was set upon by the very territorial little wattle bird - Boo Hoo!!

Cookie must be familiar with the cackle of a witch as well as the cackle within.

That's really interesting Lavender because we don't get King Parrots here either, but Bearman saw one yesterday and took a photograph with his phone! It might be the same King Parrot!!! I'll do the post soon with the parrot for you :)

Are you implying I am a WITCH Wizard Why?

My Mom used to sing the Kookaburra song to me when I was young. I miss her, and your pretty pictures of Cookie made me smile.

It's good to hear Cookie's photographs make you smile TsDuff :) He is quite popular around these parts because his laugh is infectious!

No I am not implying that, I am wittering to new heights.

Cookie must have you under his spell Wizard Why! Or over it.

Wizard Why said...

I am over it now. Good morning fair peasant.

It is a fairly pleasant morning and Cookie is over Wizard Why. I don't know Why, do you?

Wizard Why said...

I don't even know what you are talking about.

I am gone now.

*whoosh*

Wizard Why said...

I have returned.

Wizard Why said...

Where am I?

Wizard Why said...

*whoosh*

I am gone again.

That's a good idea Wizard Why, there aren't any peasants here and I'm a brunette! Now I know how you were under and over Cookie and I'm talking to myself.

I am once again amazed and awed by the presence of birds in one's backyard. Do you have cats?
Dogs?
Squirrels?
All those creatures that chase the birds away?
I did not know Cookies beak was blue, or is that the reflection of the light. I bet Kj is happy. She is such a cookie monster.

No cats and dogs allowed Ces, for the very same reason. We don't have squirrels, just possums :) There is a tinge of blue in Cookie's beak but you might notice, especially as we move to the Midday Variety and Afternoon Delights, Australian lighting changes colours because of its harshness. This can be seen especially in reflections and eye colour.

The light here IS very harsh, I still marvel at that Anon, its very different to Northern Hemisphere sun.
And for the 'edification' of your readers (cheeky me!) I will add that in many areas of Australia, the possums are just as big a nuisance to gardeners here, as squirrels are up there...
Thanks again for the King Parrot Anon & Bearman - great shot of a very regal visitor!

It's a great challenge trying not to blind visitors to my photographic blogs because of our Australian lighting Lavender! Posting bird photographs in the Spring Parade at different times of the day is a way for viewers to experience this difficulty and harsh changes with our lighting :)

*Cackle*

Lavender said...

Challenge it is - but you have down Anon!

Anonymous said...

AHA! The cackle of a witch! Or are you the person doing something funny in the audience to make Cookie laugh on the inside, Perriette?

Thanks Lavender :)

Ces Adorio said...

Well, it seems you have made use of the Australian light very well Anon. These photographs are fantastic.

Thanks Ces, but I do tend to curse the lighting here (silently) a lot especially when photographing!

Maybe Cookie is waiting for fresh Laundry to be hung out (laughing inside)...

Cookie knows very well that isn't going to happen! He made it that way over a year ago, Joy Eliz :(

Thanks for the welcome, yes I like that.
The little birds cute, and fuzzy to.

I hope ManBoy is better.

Welcome Hardwax :) Cookie is both cute and fuzzy! Manboy is improving. Two weeks holiday starting Friday will help.
