Swamping

Here she uses her thick bill to preen, but it's also used to cut reeds, grass and to dismember frogs!

Frogs will croak one way or another, Ces :)

Hello Neurotica Noir! Long time no see! Escaped from the asylum? Think of your nuthouse being a birdhouse now :)

after reading ces' comment, i thought maybe a dismembered frog was embedded in one of the photos. i went back and looked and looked.
but then i thought, "what exactly does a dismembered frog look like?"

:)

ps. vote for jack

Hhahhahhaaaaa, you'd have a difficult time finding a dismembered frog in a photograph even if one was there KJ!

PS: I can't compete with Jack; REFUSE to show a film of me taking a bath!!!

Dismembered frogs bring back bad childhood memories - but never mind that! These shots are FANTASTIC! Well done!

Oh yes, and the Science Lab! Thanks Lavender :)

What!? Was dissecting a live frog a worldwide phenomenon?

Anonymous said...

Ces, must have been! Plus think it STILL is!

We only cut into a cow's eyeball but at least it was'nt attached to the cow (it got an eye-patch and became a succesful pirate).

These are too colourful to be called hens!

These are the cuckoos I voted for.

You missed out Modroom! The cow's eyeball is after the frog's body. How did you do it without practise first? Hens can be colourful like roosters!!!

I voted for the cuckoos who visit BoiledEggInADeckchair :)

She's beautiful. I closed my eyes at the frog part.

She is Hardwax! Closing your eyes wouldn't block out the croaking ...
