Maybe they are like those strange seaguls here..hhheheh... They look at you and it's CLEAR they want some french fries ! :))))
Most definitely telling me to clear off, Lavender ahhahha. The sideway glance is telling me what direction!
They were very clear with intentions, although it wasn't food they were asking for MerlinPrincesse ...
Their nest consists of a platform of trampled reeds with the surrounding vegetation used to form a shelter. I was almost sitting in their NEST! Ooops ...

The hens weren't there when I arrived KJ. It looked to me they were alarmed I turned up, ran then checked their nest, told me to leave (I did back off), then decided I was a 'good' human and left :) This is a danger when bird stalking - it's easy to accidentally disrupt the natural order of things and must try to be aware to not leave an imprint ...
Probably picking up all your cigarette butts!
NO Modroom! Can't smoke, stalk and photograph at the same time and wasn't hiding in the bushes to sneak a cigarette! Leaving any sort of butt can disrupt the natural order of things ... :)
