Hello Fairy Wren - looking so adorable on her waterside perch! Cute little things!

Anonymous said...

I was lucky she stayed put for more than a few seconds that time Lavender :)

In the first photo the Fairy Wren is hard to see! It looks like a very tiny little bird.

An average size of 14cm Sharon. Not you, the fairy-wren! That's also including a tail in the measurement which is longer than its tiny body :) She weighs 10 grams hehheheee ...

The fairy looks like it wanted it's photo taken, you must be honoured.

I'm not honoured if caught yellow fever off Queenie, and shooting the fairy was hard work Modroom! I followed her along a river until she finally decided to not move for more than a few seconds ...

You must be knackered.

I also render animals that are unfit for human consumption and don't have testicles Modroom :)

captain modroom9 said...

You must be tired.

Anonymous said...

I am Modroom. GO AWAY!

You mustve tired out the Fairy Wren and thats why she surrendered to the lens hahaha
(What ever works with them - they flit about ceaselessly!)

Very fine photographs considering the blade of grass looks like a giant leek!

Anonymous said...

Hhhehheee, I think that is the base of a Papyrus weed, Ces :)

Ces Adorio said...

I have never seen Papyrus before. Very pretty even if it is a weed.

Anonymous said...

It used to be used as 'paper' by the Egyptians Ces; yes very pretty :)

Joy Eliz said...

duck, duck, wren! *running around in circles!*

Joy Eliz said...

Oh, I forgot to ask... where's her glitter wand?

Ces Adorio said...

I thought so. We used local grass for paper when I was in college. Very pretty but not good with fountain pens because the nib scratches the fibers.

I'm with Joy, where's the fairy's wand?

Anonymous said...

Oh haahaa, Joy Eliz is ducking ducks! The fairy's glitter wand is so tiny you can't see it ... however, the next post shows how she can very quickly vanish then rematerialize! Don't blink Joy Eliz and Ces!

There are no such thing as fairies. My shrink told me so.

Poor Lunatica must be blind due to her errrrrr 'unusual' crossed eyes. You need a new shrink Lunatica!

HARDWAX said...

She's beautiful, and I found her three times, not telling you where though.

I didn't hide her Hardwax!
