This relative of Cookie's has his mouth closed. I wonder why ...
A contemplative kookaburra?
Ive given up trying to keep up on the entries Ive missed - comment wise that is LOL!
These are some fantastic pics Anon! Enviable!
Perhaps he knows a secret about Cookie? At least you're laughing Lavender! Thanks :)
A Cookie pretender! Blah. Still a cutie, though.
Perriette, I think he knows something we don't!
I'm just going to peek my head in... Too much commotion in your other comments. Besides, 62,42,30,21 comments? C'mon that is just way too much for a bunch of birds. hhmmmpff!
We can blame the Vultures for all those comments Joy Eliz! I'm not one of them :)
chirp. tweet. hello.
HAHAHHAHHHAAAA a Vulture doesn't chirp or tweet does it KJ? Parrots say "hello" ...
Good morning!
This photograph is beautiful!
I hope nothing bad happened to Cookie during the storm.
I am behaving, lest some carrion will be thrown at me :-(
This blog is for the birds :-) and I am a little hummingbird or a cardinal.
Good morning Ces! Thank you :) OH!!! You know what, I HAVEN'T seen Cookie since the storms! Didn't realise until now! REALLY!!
You are nice as a hummingbird or a cardinal :) KJ is a ummmm, I think a parrot today ...
Thanks Anon. I can't wait for the next Cookie sighting. Those storms are awful. Here, we always talk about their effects on humans and the economy and forget the birds and wildlife.
Gee, why am I thinking about the birds and wildlife like this? I was not that sensitive before.
i refuse to be a vulture, anon. i will be a parrot if i must, but i am really a super fast chirping little bird who flys and plays from one space to another. i don't know birds well enough to know what i am.
another identity crisis. oh geez...
Oh dear Ces, I promise to take Cookie's photograph as soon as he visits! Maybe he has gone to Lavender's area, she has had sunshine for a few days! I only think about the birds and the wildlife during the storms (maybe because they are all under our roof!) Hhahhahaaa. Plus a tree falling on our roof ...
You must be a Rainbow Lorikeet KJ! But they scream and chatter more than chirp. Sounds right for today, they repeat things too :)
Sunny again today although they promised us more rain- but no Cookies. Didnt even hear them up the road today...perhaps there is a conference on somewhere?
Hope he turns up soon in your neck of the woods Anon.
We had big black rain clouds mostly blocking the sun today, Lavender. However, this morning there was a ruckus of birds and did a sound recording for later ... sadly no Cookies :(
Look forward to the sounds Anon!
Just had convo with Mr Lavender re: his fishing trip today on the Georges River...said he counted 10 Cookies at 'the hole near the Como bridge' - said when he pulled up a disappointing fish - They all started laughing!!!
HAHAHHAHHAAA, Cookie's relatives DO time their laughter at the best and worst times sometimes! They remind us not to be too serious :) SO, they were all at 'the hole near the Como bridge' today just to give Mr Lavender some cheek!
i want to hear cookie's family laughing their heads off....
Eventually KJ ... when they decide to visit my backyard again ...
Does he know what happened to the real Cookie?
I think he might Perriette :(
