Puffin

Hello, my name is Puffin!

I've had half a beak for a very long time, but survive very well. Especially with Anon's special sloppy porridge for breakfast!

Oh blah ... it's on my face, isn't it ...

Not long before we once again leave the immediate backyard, I wanted to show you ‘beakless’ Puffin. Puffin is a happy and healthy bird like Lavender’s ANDREW!

I thought that pooridge was snow.

Is this pooridge the same consistency as oatmeal?

Andrew is a beauty.

Heehee, it doesn't snow here Ces, although that might be changing! I think 'Oatmeal' means 'Porridge' in Australia because porridge for humans is oats. However, I use a Rice Formula with soybean, oats, wheat, psyllium husk, vitamins and minerals added with sometimes nectar or fruit added - for the birds. It IS the same consistency as 'oatmeal' :)

(typed for Andrew):
Well hello Dolly! Thats some great tucker tackle youve got there, youre one fine flyin' machine Sweets! Thanks for the kiss, its great to meet you. Please dont let your mate throw me over his shoulder!!!!

(Lavender again - who must figure out how you do that with the profile names!)
Gives her a really fierce look, doesnt it? But shes still so pretty! Thanks for posting this little beauty, and for looking after her! Clearly she enjoys the
porridge - Never wouldve thought to add the psyllium husk - would greatly help the consistency I imagine - great receipe too Anon!

Hi Andrew! This is Anon, Puffin has flown off with her Husband, so you need not worry about being thrown over his shoulder HAHHAHHAAAA.

Lavender, to post for your "family" select 'Other' when choosing an identity, type 'Name' then their link as 'Web Page' :) YES, Puffin looks like she is wearing war paint heehee. I try to change the lorikeet's food recipes to add variety and greater range of vitamins and minerals :)

SHHHHHHHHHHH KJ!

Lavender said...

Andrew is most relieved - LOL!!!
Whenever Lorikeets visit the garden and call out to each other, the whole aviary of budgies calls out back to them with a very similar call - I always get a kick out of it.
Variety is essential - as you well know - onya!
I will have a go with that trick- thanks again!!!

I don't think Puffin's Husband would be too keen about flying too far from the porridge (to Andrew's Place) either Lavender :) Wouldn't it be great to be like Dr Dolittle!!!

kj said...

anon IS dr. dolittle!!!

KJ, I am Anonymous!

Poor little Puffin? Who bit off her/his nose? The Butcher?

Anon an angel? hahahah That would be a mystery.

Puffin has looked like that since a baby, Perriette. She also had "Imping" implanted flying feathers, the first time I met her. Now she is all grown up and married.

Haha, Jack already used that joke!

Anonymous said...

That Jack! Miss Bubblebutt is going to wrap him up in her web.

BITE you Perriette!

Anonymous said...

Perriette, run away ... run away ... did you visit Lavender's 'Andrew'? Link is in the first comment.

I find this bird disturbing.
