Afternoon Delights

King Jack It's time to vote for your favourite bird from the Afternoon Delights of the Spring Parade! Please find the Poll to your right hand side which will close on the 30th of December, Australian time. Phew! Just in time for the hottest part of SUMMER and a POOL PARTY!!!

NEWS RELEASE: The Australian Museum sent an email saying Scientists from their birds section

"agree that 'Mini' is a Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris), which should make some of the contributors to your site very happy!"

All you birdbrains are 100% CLEVER!

Anon went stalking last weekend and heard Mini calling from the other side of the Lagoon. Then Anon started calling from this side of the Lagoon - it was very embarrassing. However, the bird stopped calling and Anon with youngest son watched her fly all the way over to this side of the Lagoon and stop at the top of the tree above them! They both believe the Starling WAS really Mini! ... Jack

Aww, how sweet, Mini knew it was you! :)

I saw a slew of starlings today and thought of you and Mini! A friend of mine takes care of injured birds, much like your story with Mini. Once I went to his house and a robin landed on my head ... another time a starling dropped down in front of me and begged for food ... this last time a Canada goose followed us wherever we went. :)

I guess Mini would know my bird call, Melissa :) HAHHAAA, a Canadian goose would be difficult to keep in a cupboard Melissa! HAHHAAA

A lesser spotted Kinks song to accompany the Afternoon Delights! Glad Mini is integrating with her skills she learnt at The AnonyHouse :)

Afternoon Tea is delightful Modroom :) I'm also glad Mini continued to eat and expanded on her flying skills! It sounded like she still expects others to bring food to her sometimes ... :)

captain modroom9 said...

So do I, that's why I'm nearly dead.

Anonymous said...

WELL, I hope Mini eventually grows out of THAT habit, Modroom!
