Thank you everyone for your emails with suggestions of what type of bird Mini Minor is! What do you think of the list?

It was fun looking through all the birds listed on the website :)

There are LOTS there Miladysa! A couple in the bird poll are missing but a Google search will find them quickly. You MUST guess which bird Mini is! There is a week to think about it and you can vote for more than one bird and change your mind ;)

Where is my chicken suggestion????

Hhehheeee, the list would have been too long MerlinPrincesse! If I put your 'Chicken' in the poll, then I would have had to also add the Ostrich and the Lesser Long-eared Bat!

Great shots of mini. I love the last one. I hope she's okay, whatever kind of bird she is.

Ooh look at the feathers. It is starting to get some definitions, just like a cuckoo shrike! I don't really like Mini to turn out to be a cuckoo, is she does then Anon has been duped to feed her! Hahaha!

What super shots -- and she's ready for the runway! :) So good to see her so grown up and thriving. Good work raising Mini, Anon.

I'm sure Mini is fine Red Mojo, otherwise she would have been back before dark the day she left :)

I don't want Mini to be a Cuckoo either Ces but it would be REALLY funny if she fooled me as well as the other birds! Just as well she didn't kick MY kids out! A Cuckoo-shrike isn't a cuckoo by the way - they are neither Cuckoos nor Shrikes, but related to Orioles. They are co-operative breeders and more than a pair feed the young :)

Thanks Melissa :) Once we know what she is I can go looking for her! HAHA

There should be Little Poser added to the voting list, although not sure if there's officially such a bird.

Mini could officially be a Little Poser if her bird type isn't in the poll Modroom!

Look at her work the camera! Tehhehehe She will be a pro model before she gets her adult plumes! Gorgeous clear shots of Sweetie bird...must re-examine my guess - just to be sure! :)

She's a natural 'something' Lavender! HAHHAAA There are some excellent suggestions for the poll and I might add for those who would like to see some baby Little Wattle Birds to go see LAVENDERS before voting! I have changed my mind several times about what bird Mini is but have it down to three birds now ... another week to think about it!

Apologies to the six who already voted ... I forgot to add a Grey Currawong. OOps.

Little Poser - that's funny.

Do you have a record of our votes? I have forgotten mine already :(

Anonymous said...

Oh dear, I don't actually know which six voted or who they voted for Miladysa :( It was either the Barred Cuckoo-shrike, Common Starling, Dusky Woodswallow, Grey Shrike-thrush or Little Wattlebird. Those were the birds voted by the six. You can vote for more than one and change your vote within the seven days :)

Ok, I googled and it was still hard to tell, but I think she really wants to eat honey maybe similar in texture as the gruel meal she was fed as a baby-bird and she liked the worms, so that means she probably likes other insects as well, my vote is for Fuscous Honeyeater. She is such a cutie!

Thanks for voting Princess Pepper Cloud! Yes it is difficult when they are young, also photographs online often look very different to each other. Very observant about her wanting to eat honey and probably liking insects. She is a cutie! :)
