*YAWN* Who is EXHAUSTED? Hhahhaa
happy Boxing day! (what's left of it in Aus!)
Thanks Simon :) HAHHAA, you have a lot more Boxing Day left in England!
I can't get up a tree for Boxing Day. Do the parrots have ladders?
Jack must love it when his buddies are all outside in the trees! I used to put my parakeet by the window in our house that overlooked the bird feeders -- she *loved* it. Sang and carried on like she was out there with them! :)
I'm very tired ... wearing overalls and a soft cotton shirt ... planning to drink coffee and sit with a book at some point.
Have good time with AnonyFamily, Anon! :) Is the birdie yaaawning on the last pic? Funny! :)
The parrots have WINGS BoiledEggInADeckchair!
Hhahha Melissa, Jack calls the Lorikeets over which is probably why we get more visiting than we used to :) You sound comfortable; it takes a year for me to finish reading a book. Right now the house is filled with neighbourhood teenagers!
MerlinPrincesse, the Lorikeet is yawning, I must try not to teach them bad habits :)
What's Boxing Day?
I love that your parrots aren't afraid of the Christmas tree... Mooky's won't go near it. He makes fart sounds the whole time I'm decorating it!
Sharon, Boxing Day is the day you are really supposed to open your presents but here we open the day before and have a sailing race instead! Heehee. We introduced Jack before the tree was decorated, then he thought the rest was all toys hung there for his own pleasure only :)
So does Britain and it's former commonwealth nations still practice Boxing Day by giving to the poor or is it just symbolic now?
Cute pictures of the boxers. Where do they wear their little gloves?
I'm still recovering from only a few hours with my family!
Did you also spend Boxing Day with Graham Norton and Brussel Sprouts?
happy almost new year anon. i'm finishing the year with birds in my life like never before, thanks to you and lavender.
oh, did i mention that ces and melissa and i are showing up at your front door with our hands full of chocolates and stories?
oh, did i also mention that we will understand if you reject us and then we will have to find a nearby hotel and eat your chocolates and blog about the stories....
:)
Ces, the only time Australia thinks of the Queen is when she pops up on our televisions to give her Christmas message which was indeed partly about thinking of the poor. The shops are all closed in my State but Boxing Day symbolises SALES!!!
Hhehheheee, they aren't fighting Red Mojo!
I spent Boxing Day with my family Perriette. Are you and Graham Norton with his brussel sprouts related?
I won't know about you eating my chocolates and blogging stories because I will have drowned myself before anyone tries to land on my doorstep KJ! Happy almost New Year! :)
Hope your Boxing day was all you hoped it would be :)
And now I wish you and all your cheerful birdies and Bearman a wonderful New Year.
Ooooh! Rainbow lorikeets! I saw some of those in Sydney Botanical Gardens!
Thankyou for your hope and wishes TsDuff :)
HAHAA hello Maalie, Rainbow Lorikeets are taking over Sydney at the moment. They have begun with my backyard!
TODAY is the last day to vote for your favourite bird from the 'Afternoon Delights' of the Spring Parade! Today, I'm forcing my family to bird stalk, but when we return I will post the WINNER OF THE PARADE! Have a good day (or evening) :)
