An Old Traditional song ... :)
How come I get the feeling she's walking behind him, saying, "And when I tell you to take the trash out of the nest I don't mean move it around a little, I mean take it out and if you leave your feathers unpreened they get all cockeyed and I'm embarrassed we go out, and is it too much to ask for you to take the children out with you once in a while so I can take a nap and will you could ever get to that fix-up job you were going to do on the branch outside the nest are you listening to me??"
HAHAHHAHHAHHAHAAAAA can't get any more traditional than that song Melissa :))))
I have two chortling away in the background as I write this. They are trying to discourage their very noisy and 'time to leave the nest now son' baby . .they're quite aggressive with it but it's persistant and just won't fly away! There will be tears before bedtime
OH DEAR Baino! I have on film where the parents were too aggressive from a couple of mornings ago but didn't want to post it so close to 'Cheer Season'. I hope your Baby Son only crys ... before bedtime :(
OMG - Now I am fretting about the baby bird of baino!
Sooo...
I was going to say, the first photograph... well... it reminded me of someone I once dated [along time ago when I was single]
Then...
I read what Melissa wrote and would like to say... NO... that is NOT me with him in the second shot!
Oh dear, this isn't such a cheery post after-all ... I might also post the other Magpie's Sad Story today and get tears over and done with
:(
HAHHAHAHAA I'm pleased that wasn't you and old flame Miladysa (I bet his feathers are no longer preened :)
What feathers? hehehe
Those Magpies think they own the place with all that strutting. I like the third photo where one of them is looking at the camera!
Jack has a lot to put up with sometimes *sigh* (or *BWARK*).
here's a bit of info:- bird experts say that the family with the best, most co-ordinated songs are also the best at defending territory, feeding as well as breeding!
The better the bird call the better the bird
I like that shot too Modroom, he's almost using mental telepathy saying "Can you do something about this!?!"
That's very interesting information Simon! Thanks!
