Holy cow, what an eyeball!! Made me laugh right out loud ... no offense, Mr. Currawong. And Jack has two new guardians up here, so watch out would-be Jack-attackers! :)

His eyes show more than the rest of him Melissa! Hhehheee, although Mr Currawong is about 50cm long he only eats small lizards, insects, caterpillars and berries. They also take small and young birds but Jack isn't that young anymore - too tough ;)

What do you do to get such wonderful access to the birds in your garden? I have them I know, I can hear them twittering and warbling. I have a thumping great photo lens but actually locating them to photograph is a mammoth task when they're 100 feet up in a bloody gum tree! I think I need to sit, wait and snap! Or get lazy and fill the bird feeder!

they like fruit too.

Are there 4 and 20?

Hhehheee, I locate them by sound Baino. Most of the time I can't actually see them because too far up or in the shade or burning sun, but point and shoot! Love the surprise of seeing what might be in the photographs afterwards :) One important rule is to sit and wait. Although, if rushing out the back door because saw something out a window, stay low and scamper lightly :)

I guess berries are their pick of fruit Simon. I have seen them eat Jack's old pear, apple and grapes :) Hhehheee, no 4 and 20. Just a family of three which would still fill a pie :)

Beautiful birdie with his yellow eyes.

I love you, Anony, but skipping the "Sad Story", especially today.

Tell everyone about my Xmas Eve drawing! Don't tell Mr. Totties, though. Shhhhh...........

HAHA a little scarier looking than a Partidge! Do you not scamper or stay low Mildysa?

'Scamper'? Moi? Please! lol

No, seriously, every time I get the camera on their off! I am hoping to get a few photographs soon and shall post them in your honour!

OHHHH Miladysa! That is also a very common problem! Birds have a sixth sense but after a while you will find a few of them want to pose ;) How exciting!!
