Grey-Butcherbird

Look who has taken Cookie's spot on the clothes line! Grey Butcherbirds are aggressive and prey on small animals, including birds!

Haven't seen Cookie since he inspected Jack's new castle ...

Maybe Cookie is jealous of all the attention you give to Jack! :)

Cookie is way above jealousy MerlinPrincesse :)

Poor Cookie. it's about time she got some attention. I love the clothesline.

This isn't Cookie Ces, this is BUTCHER! Yes, the clothes line holds birds and not clothes heehee :)

She doesn't really look like a butcher, does she Perriette! Cookie wouldn't have been sliced then diced because Butcherbirds eat small birds and Cookie is much larger!

whew, cookie is safe! and why am i partial to cookie anyway? (i guess certain bonds and affections just happen before you know it.)

butcher--don't be messing with cookie!

No one can help but love Cookie KJ because he is a Laughing Kookaburra and his laugh IS contagious! We don't see many Butchers in our garden which is a good thing!

I know it is not Cookie, but isn't it time Cookie got some attention or will he appear in the winter? Can you imagine if butcherbirds attacked in gangs? By the way, do you have a gum tree? I remember that song:

"Kookaburra sits in a old gum tree
Merry mmery king of the bush is he
Laugh kookaburra laugh
Kookaburra gay your life must be"

Cookie comes and goes ... at the moment he is gone. Luckily Butchers don't travel in gangs! You sing like a BIRD Ces! Yes, the lorikeets' favourite tree during the rain is our gumtree, but Cookie likes the Hills Hoist :)

OMG Suddenly I remember! We had one of those Hills Hoist in the sixties when I was a kiddo!!!! WOW! I forgot all about it! :))) And I remember Clo's pink bunny hanging there by it's ears. My mom was washing that plush every six months...Hhehheeh. :))))

Oh, there it is! It is so tiny it's hard to tell you are a bird.

Oh! I helped expose a repressed memory of MerlinPrincesse's! Heehee :)

You don't like my new stolen avatar Perriette?

Cookie IS a Laughing Kookaburra KJ! Accordian music? NONONONONONO ...

I just answered that question BoiledEggInADeckchair, start listening properly! Oh, you don't have holes where your ears should be.

I was going to suggest cropping yourself. Much better.

Not sure about my beak Perriette, it should be up in the air! (I do mean in the clouds but even higher)
