At first, I thought it was a croc then as I scrolled down I realised it was a swan's bottie ;]

Hope you're a vegetarian Mr Totties, Black Swans only fish for weeds!

The swans you saw were in a Zoo Onedia? I can assure you they are even more beautiful wild :)

Their ruffled petticoats are charming and stylish Ces!

You have already been away KJ, more Black Swans coming soon (that way you needn't bother visiting AND I don't have to drown myself) :)

Of course, naturally! Simon wins the prize :)

I *love* black swans!! They're so beautiful and their arched necks so elegant. I remember there was a pond down the street from my Nana's and it always had two swan in it ... I was warned to stay clear because their wings could hit with the force of a baseball bat. I love the top photo! I have a poem at home that is about ducks feeding and one of the lines is "up tails all!" :) There are lots of seagulls in CT and I've seen some water birds far off in the distance ... should have brought my bins. Sigh. Thanks for the great shots, Anon!

Beautifully composed photos, as usual.

Swans wings can be very strong Melissa, you just have to look at the size of them :) I learnt that 'duck poem' in kindergarten but only remember the last line! HAHA. Enjoy your time away Melissa (even without bins) ...

Thankyou ElizT :)
