Follow

At this point the Purple Swamphen still hadn't seen me. Although the lighting was dreadful, ...

followed him into the shadows where a better result might be found.

He just kept walking! It wasn't easy hiding when he crossed open or grassed areas.

Leading with purpose? Or was he imitating sneaky Anon?

Suddenly he turned and demanded what I wanted. He had been trying to lose me!!

Some of the bird poses make him/her look like a dinosaur. Why am I thinking of dinosaur?

Anonymous said...

Because I suggested you watched out for the dinosaurs when we first arrived at the lakes Ces?

Ces Adorio said...

Yes that, thanks, and also because this bird looks fierce and looks like it is ready to attack! Look at those long claws!

It has beautiful coloring and I love how the feathers look so neat. It's a pretty attractive bird.

What do you wear when you go out to photograph the birds? What kind of clothes and do you wear boots?

I'd never get away with asking that. Have you perfected the David Attenborough crouched walking stance, or do you cover yourself in branches?

Ces, I wear occupational health and safety Blundstone work boots for hard yakka! Named as Blunnies and worn by Tap Dogs! Plus nothing bright to go with :)

Modroom *slap*! It's more about how you move and not what you wear :)

HaHahahaaaa!......Kind of clothes!!! A tutu voyons... for the ballet...!

Hello Aunty Rita! OH MY! You have overdressed for the occasion ... spin around ... heeheeheeee ...

I would make my own bird suit with Wellington Boots and blow a kazoo to mingle freely with nature, but might try a tutu sometime.

I am now picturing Modroom as a RUBBER BIRD! A tutu works if being a swan - look at Aunty Rita :)

Thanks. I was really wondering what would be most appropriate to wear for the consitions and what will not disturb the birds. Nice boots. I was thinking if I did something like that I would wear knee high boots but then I just remembered the snakes, never mind.

That bird needs to learn that there is no getting rid of Anon!

Clothes that blend would be best Ces. The boots aren't nice, just practical - they are everything proof, even acid! The best about them is you can't feel anything when kicking toes against rocks. Snakes are asleep in Winter :)

*kicking Perriette*

I don't care if they are asleep in winter. The fact that they might be there is enough to give me a heart attack.

Anonymous said...

You wouldn't survive at that rate Ces! Snakes are more afraid of you and now I'm imagining them all having extra massive heart attacks should you be around :)

Ouch!

Heeheee, you need to fit a Blundestone Boot where your butt is Perriette. Don't think they sell sizes like that!
