A fine collection of those who are experts at Skywatching! This post has been submitted to SKY WATCH FRIDAY!
WOW! Beautiful pictures! (As usual ;>)
Oh to soar like a Kestrel. Look at those silly surfers! I must venture down to the sea-side one of these days! Happy Horses' Birthday Anony ... and . .I'm not LATE! Woohooo!
. . .except for work . . must dash . . byeee!
Australian Hobbit? I KNEW it!!!
Lot's of sky you've watched for that post! You're showing off, how much sky Australia has, do you?
Cheers, Klaus
Wonderful, all. Love the sea at the bottom. Tempting on this hot day.
Hhehee, thanks Maria :)
The silly surfers must be frozen Baino!!! HAY is for horses, you're one of the first here again! *clapping* Bye... ;)
HOBBEY Klaus! Not a Hobbit - those live in New Zealand with Gandalf! Yes, our sky is so much more expansive in Australia, Hhahaa :)
Thanks Leora, it's REALLY COLD in Australia right now!
Lovely birds flying free in the sky! I say the only time I get to see these great birds is when I go to the zoo!
Hope you can hop by my SWF photos in these blogs:
Jenn Was Here
Shutter Happenings
Thanks! Happy Friday!
Wonderful sequence of shots. The colors and contrast in the last two are amazing.
Tsup*!* Did the Black Kite catch something ... looks like it was about to *!*
Oh NO! There wouldn't be much flying space at a zoo JennWasHere! I'm sure they'd let you out to see more birds that fly freely on the outside ;)
Thanks Carver! If you look really closely, there might be a chance to see some sky in the puddle ... or think you do ;)
Tsup*!* Tsup*!* Bimbimbie! YES the Black Kite did indeed catch something but flew and hid inside a cave with whatever it was!
Just watching those Little Falcons would make a great 'hobby' :-)
Some great birds in the mix there. It's a long time since I've seen a Black Kite.
More bautiful birds, just what I like.
Oh, I love kestrels and falcons and hawks! I've not seen shots of them by the ocean and these are superb, Anon. I sat outside journaling tonight and at one point there were eight chickadees sitting on the feeders watching me. :)
It seems you've made a "hobby" out of bird watching! Nice job! Lots to see here.
Hhehhee, I was waiting for someone to tell a similar joke Mosura! Trust an Aussie! The Black Kite was by a fluke chance and lucky there was a photograph at all! You can see there was a bit of balancing involved in getting that one ;)
Thankyou Babooshka - I know you like birds :)
Birds can bring delightful surprises Melissa! Thankyou :))
HAHA, yes birdwatching is an easy 'hobby' to have Kathiesbirds :) Always lots to see!
Love the raptors.....sometimes I squint when I'm looking at Oliver and imagine that he's really a small, fierce bird of prey.
Love the birds in flight. Great capture!! Happy SWF and a wonderful weekend to you!!
Wow! you really did get some great shots!
Great captures as always! I love the last one best! (:
I never tire of your photos... especially those located of and near the sea. Fabulous - thanks for my fix of the sea and of the birds :) Excellent.
Watch your nose Debra Kay! Especially if squinting HEEHEE :)
A wonderful weekend to you too JoyceOnHerJustifiedJourney! Thankyou :)
Thanks Indigo-daisy :)
I like the last one best also Rachel*!!!
Hello TsDuff :) That's lovely of you to say! I know you also especially like raptors ;)
My favorites of thise series of shots is actually the ones with the water. The waves crashing against the rocks and the birds dipping down. Beautiful.
What wonderful shots you got for Sky Watch! I really loved seeing all of those birds!
Thanks for your visit to my SWF! What great photos I am seeing this week!
Beautiful as usual. Gotta pack. Later.
Thankyou Jeanne :) You can probably see sky in the waves but don't look too closely or you might fall in! We're on a cliff edge there :)
Thanks Kahshe Cottager! Pleased you enjoyed your visit :)
Thankyou Ces, get packing then!
beautiful as usual. gotta sun. later. :)
(is that ventriliquist echo acting up again?)
Oh how lovely!
They´re beautiful birds. Nice view.
Raptors re my favourite birds.. so seeing them on Sky Watch really is great for me.. thank you..
Whow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic shots! We have loads of sparrows which roost in the eaves of our barn...so we often have a female sparrowhawk coming for its dinner.
I feel so blessed to watch it in action pulling all the feathers off first. sometimes I miss it and find the evidence of its presence in the pile of feathers further upo the garden :)
I wish I could be a falcon for the day...
Great shots of these hunters, not easy to do ! They always give such a strong impression of mastery in flying.
I love skywatching shots that have birds in the, :-D YAY!
No KJ, because you've gotta "sun" and NOT pack! Thanks :)
Pleased you are thrilled Mary :)
Thankyou Luiz Ramos, looking upwards can be a nice view!
Raptors are your favourites Tom? GREAT!!! Thankyou :)
WHOW!!!!! Miladysa! It's nice to see you again :)
Goodness! Not sure I'd feel privileged witnessing plucking on a regular basis but you are lucky to have your 'own' Sparrowhawk, AWildlifeGardener ;)
Me too Gledwood!!!!
Hhehee, they are fast flyers Hildegards but luckily a couple 'hover' also ;)
"Sky"? Mary Stebbins Taitt? Happy Skywatching everyone!
great shoots have nice weekend
Fabulous photos. Beautiful.
PRETTY! My favorite is the second from last one.
Wonderful captures of the falcons!
Thankyou Sandycarlson :)
You have a great weekend also Esnorway :) Thanks!
Thankyou Louise!
Thanks Rebecca, that is a 'pretty' one :)
Thanks Brenda!
What's up? How are you? Where are you? What happened?
I mean: I hope you are OK
;->...
these are great shots. We have an osprey at Penrith lakes and 2 wedge tailed eagles that cover the blue mtns and the river as well
and I saw a sea eagle which now resides along the river at the polo fields in richmond...
